What is really important to me, especially on a first date is finding the ease of talking with him and with that, seeing a lot of laughter and fun. The rest pretty much falls into place. I certainly want someone who enjoys being with me and vice versa. I would hate to think that I blew off a "first date" when he could be the one that would end up being very special to me. I would never do that!
