I think it would be a good idea just to meet somewhere for coffee or and ice-cream and sit and talk. If everything seems to be going okay then maybe go for a ride and see if we want to get together again.

Depending on how far apart we live from each other - take a ride and stop at an out of the way place for refreshments. If distance is an issue maybe just meet at a quaint restaurant to chat and get to know each other.

How about meeting for coffee at a cafe and a snack to get started. Then a nice ride through the Santa Cruz mountains. Feeling the changing temperatures on your skin as you go from hot sunlight into cool shade.
Then wind at a secluded cove without too many tourists. Grab the picnic basket and walk out to the bluffs overlooking the beach with deep azure-blue water. You can feel the thundering impact of the waves onto the rocks below.
Lay out the blanket and enjoy a scrumptious meal and watch the sun set.
