Oh, Jeez...first dates are the worst. If you are not a good talker, I'd start with a movie so we don't have to talk so much at first. But a bike ride or bike run serves the same purpose, right? I get to check out how you ride, you get to check out if I'm a good passenger! It really is all about the bike first. I like the HideAway, and Buddy Stubbs Events; Dirt Dogg Salloon. I like good coffee if we should meeet in the AM for a day ride.(Jaynes, CCCC, SBUX; there are Dunkin Donuts that beat the chaps off some SBUX, BTW)--yeah, you have to be kewl with coffee. But really, I would love to just go someplace for a ride and hang out for an hour over coffee or beer (hard English cider for me) or Irish coffee at a biker bar. I have LOADS of fun at bars with an OTB or a pool room. Don't matter. It's just nice to break the ice with something to do...unless you are a really good talker. NO restaurants especially not fancy restaurants. Not even into going out to eat anyway. Don't ever give me flowers. They are dead the minute you cut them. So: Best FIRST date would be 1) Pick me up on your low-slung (as opposed to cafe racer) big V-Twin or drive-shaft touring bike; 2) Go to a movie and at least pay for your own ticket; 3) Go get a coffee AND/OR a beer/wine/drink at a verifiable biker friendly bar,where there's something goin' on, like lots o'ike bikes outside...or greyhound/horse OTB; or bikes...or football ...or bikes...you get the idea? We leave from Cooks Corner and ride to the beach, cruising PCH and stopping to enjoy each others company along the way.

Have lunch at a quiet restaurant where we can get to know each other better, then later maybe something fun like a game of pool, and if things take off from there maybe finish the day off with a nice ride .
