i don't remember too many famous people being born and raised in philly but i do know that sylvester stallone lived in lower kensington and bill cosby lived around north philly and went to college at temple university. i also remember mom telling me that one of the oakridge boys or the lettermen graduated from frankford high school. i remember her telling me that donny pike's (the lettermen) mom was also a nurse in one of the area hospitals. *blush*

Well I am originally from Queens, NY so there are a ton of people from there. so the same list as sicilianangelny listed Now I live in Winchester, Va and the only one I know of is the late Patsy Kline who was born and raised in Winchester, not that I am into her music. Oh and come to think of it Robert Duvall is from VA.
I grew up in Liverpool so the Beatles came from there too. Also Moody Blues, Gerry and ... It was kinda fun going on vacation and being a princess by assocation with the town - got the best dates and you know.
