After a very bad scare riding behind a friend, who had drunk too much..I took my need for free wind, and rushing asphalt into my own hands...Now I refuse to allow anyone to take the "front" seat, it's just too damn good (I am being a little bit selfish), but I can't be an impassive passenger.it's like being in control of your own personal roller-coaster ride.I do have some safety issues that don't necessarily those faced by the men. First try to always ride with a partner, try not to ride in the country after dark(rednecks get way scary at night)Don't drink and drive, and lastly be aware of your surroundings at all times, even when you think you're "perfectly safe"--no such thing when you're a gal on a bike--anyone can harbor ugly little resentments and performance issues either with their lives or rides
The best defense is always a good offense--and what Daddy said still rings true today..girl if you can't deal with the ugliness, tell 'em you got two friends who will deal with it--Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson
