Well, we all know that crashes happen but this is the first time that my bike crashed and I wasn't on it.

Wednesday night I go bowling and as we were finishing up a friend , practical joker, came in and said someone just hit my bike. I said "you are shitting right?" and he said no tis is for real. So I ran out and sure enough my 01 Road Glide was laying on it's side like a tourtured mare.

A witness saw the DRUNK S.O.B. AND ANOTHER PERSON ACTUALLY JUMPED INTO HIS CAR AND FOLLOWED THE DRUNK. The ASS was arrested for DUI as he had a six pack on the passanger seat and three open cans on the seat also. The the COPhad the balls to ask me if I wanted to press hit and run charges and I said
"HELL YES"

After all was said and done I was able to ride her hjome, not over 30 due to front end wobble, put her to bed. Now comes all the insurance shit we all know so much about but she will fly again. Personal estimate, since I have worked on these for about 24 years is $5,000.00 in parts and more for labor.

Sure was strange to see my ride crashed and me not on it.

man, that sucks!!!

want an antidote??? hope this brings a smile to you day

when I first learned to ride a bike...i was going around the block in hopes of getting it out on the open road one day soon......i came around the corner of my street in 2nd gear, and started up my driveway as i realized i was going to fast for my ability to handle such an incline......i paniced and ran into the rosemary bush at the top of the driveway.........fortunatly in the sheer terror of it, i let go of the bike and stalled the thing out..

as i ventured further from home i discovered that i really enjoyed some of the back roads that have snakelike turns, slopping inclines, and long straight country lanes......

I ventured out one day by myself , looking for such roads to take......after a beautiful day of riding, stopping for a beer and lunch somewhere way out in the middle of no where....it was time to head home before dark....I some how got turned around an headed the wrong way home..

As I came down on the other side of a very steep hill, a road off to my right caught my eye, it looked more familiar than any other road I had been on for the past hr. at the last minute i decided to take the road, which was even steeper than the one I just came off I made the discion 2 seconds to late.....I had no time to gear down to make that hill...but i made a very feeble attempt , to late...........the bike went down and i went with it.......slid all the way down to the bottom, i had a hell of a time getting that thing out of the way of any car coming.....i was freekin...

He'll get his back because it only had two wheels, SS. More then that disqualifies you as a biker-squirrel.

Say, I've seen many squirrels get run over by cars, but never seen one hit a parked car.

Not yet. The local HD dealer stated that it will be about 2months before all the parts and paint are done to get it back to me.

SO True,

The situation gets stranger as 6 days later the driver that hit my bike shot three people in Joshua Tree, Ca and is in jail on 3 attempted murder charges.

Strange site indeed. But, count your lucky stars you weren't on it. It'd be more than just chrome and metal repairs.
