I have to say the creative writing from SNO was really good, I think everyone has mis interpeted what I meant by that, maybe I should elaborate a little further. I was sitting on at a picnic table having a beer with a few friends when a woman walked over to sit with her beer, just to find out that it wasn't her beer, it was he ol' man's. As he took a sip he spit it in her face and then proceeded to dump it over her head because it had too much foam in it, when i grabbed some napkins to help her out, he barked at me to leave her alone, let her stay like that, maybe she'll learn. i can see it in her face how humiliated and hurt she was, and was trying her hardest to hold back the tears. He made her get up to get another beer, and I followed her to help clean her up anyway, I told her no one has to take that, and she responded by saying, r u crazy? That's my ol' man. I am not saying the term ol'lady is a bad term, or I wouldn't object to someone i really cared about calling me that, it just seems ( who knows maybe in my area )that all the women I have met over the years who use that term are battered and bruised and very un happy. I apoligize if I offeneded anyone.

Ol' lady, gotta love it. I'm HONORED to be called an ol'lady from my husband. I wouldn't want it any other way, he also calls me his "b1tch", "cunt" (got the shorts to prove it), "whore", ect...All in a loving manner. LMAO. Never, ever has he called me any sort of name during an dissagreement, petty squable or arguement. If being called "Ol' lady" bothers you, maybe this lifestyle isnt for you.
I do want to say something about you gettin involved in a fight between a man and his ol'lady at a bike party, Don't do it. It could get you in a lot of trouble. Just turn and walk away. Say what you want outta "ears" way. Some women chose to live like that. If you get caught in the middle, that ol'lady that you were trying to help, can turn on you in an instant.

Im with Char on this one!! When Guy calls me ol'Lady its with pride and respect. Its not a disrespectful term. Now honestly, do I seem the type of woman that would put up with any type of disrespect?? You know better than that don't you?? Anyone who has ever met me knows better than that.

No, you don't put up with disrespect. I saw you go after that biotch who dared to touch your jacket in Daytona!! Hahahaha

Seriously tho--there are azzhole abusers in every walk of life--not just bikers. You are right--a woman has a choice whether to put up with disrespect or not; and if she decides to allow a man to treat her that way, she shouldn't be whining if he continues to be abusive. The first time my friend cried to me about it I had sympathy and offered words of encouragement on how to be a strong woman and take charge of her life. She chose to stay with him instead; so now all I can say is "Well, you choose your own bed--lie in it with him or burn the motha fucka." (Remember that movie? LOL)

I have one comment on being called an ol' lady or "property of". The way I see it is, by the time you are cherished enough to be called an ol' lady you have already given him your heart and your soul anyway; so if it makes him feel good to say he owns yer azz, who cares. It's all semantics anyway because the underlying energy is love and giving all you have to another person--and that's what it is all about!

A Ha ha.. shit Im lucky I didn't go to jail that night!! About the chick and the jacket? Now you know damn well she did not just touch it.. she tried to take it, twice. Dont make me sound like no brute Christina..LOL I told her twice!! How many times you gotta tell someone to put your property down?

You rock with all that you said... you always have great wisdom Christina!!

That has nothing to do w/being someone's ol'lady. We teach people how to treat us...and she let him treat her that way. That was her choice. If she didn't want that then she did not have to tolerate it.
My husband would never have spit in my face b/c he knew I would not tolerate that. And besides he probably would have been the one bringing me a beer...lol
Being someone's ol'lady or ol'man does not mean they can be disrespectful or degrading or that it has to be tolerated.
I do not feel bad for her, she chooses that treatment. If she did not, she would not tolerate it.

If there is anything disrespectful and demeaning to women, its other women always playing the victim and blaming thier life's plight on others!! It makes women look like retards. Im with Char, there are no victims in a adult relationship. We women are smart resourceful and very manipulative, we rule our own worlds and whatever happens or does not happen is our own doing. Soo sick of women acting helpless and blaming everything on others... makes me wanna puke!!

"AMEN" sista......we make our own path by our choices.

Char, i understand what you are saying and do not think there is anything wrong with the term ol' lady when it used as a term of endearment. i have used it in the past myself. but the post "What is an ol' Lady" was about being owned and being someone's property (or at least that is how i took it). there is a big difference in being owned and the giving oneself to another out of love. i guess it surprised me to see you agreeing to it knowing what i do of you. i also know that i am a little abrupt in what i say sometimes. i wasn't trying to offend you or Sno, but emphatically (maybe over-emphatically) expressing my opinions on being "owned".

Sno, i am hell's only angel and only read books for the pretty pictures.

Peace and chicken grease, don't get any on ya!

NP...we were in two different mindsets at the time...

hi hdbabygirl73,

I've never personally witnessed what you have described above...and hope I never do, that just isn't right.

I don't understand why some people treat others the way they do, and I certainly don't understand why the misstreated stick around for more...I guess it must have something to do with low self esteem or something like that, I don't know...

Us too, have never seen anything like that at a Bike party. At the bar, maybe, but not at a Bike party. Even if we did, we wouldnt say or do anything about it, it's not our business. Women have choices now a days.

Yep Sno that's pretty dang close..

Char... Sno...

are you two fckn serious?? that is the biggest load of horseshit i have heard in a long time. only in some dumbass hollywood movie would this be acceptable. i just took a look at both of your profiles and being "owned" is way off from "independent", "If you want a doormat, forgetaboutme", and of course "not into games". i have to look at this from two angles. one, being a man, i already have two dogs that follow my every command. i got them young and they are well trained. i don't need a third with titz. i want a woman that is going to be my partner, strong, smart, determined. i want a woman that is her own person with confidence and respect for herself. a woman strong enough to stand with me, not groveling at my feet. grovel at my feet and i will walk all over you. and the closest thing to love that you will get from me will come from the end of my cock. second, being a father of a daughter, i can tell you right now that never would i allow someone to treat my girl like that. i would plant the fuckr so the worms would make something worthwhile come from his sorry azz. no warning shots when it comes to my girl.

You are waaaaay off base w/me on this one. I may have been my husband's ol'lady but we worked side by side as equals....as a team...when one one weak the other held them up.
He would never humiliate me. He never demanded anything of me, but I gave all I had. He treated me like a queen...and he respected me highly.
BUT...I was his ol'lady. He did own me so to speak....He owned my heart, my soul, my devotion...only b/c I gave it willing. He never demanded it. He earned it. He loved me unconditionally and wholeheartedly.
I am not a doormat...never have been, never will be. I AM all those things you said you would want in a woman.
I will not take offense to what you said....you know not what you are speaking about regarding me. You must have misunderstood what I meant by being his ol'lady and being his. The love and respect my husband gave me and I gave him stood for 34 years. I could tell you more but it isn't important enough to me how you feel about me to take anymore time.
Be well...be safe.

Exactly.. there has to be mutual respect. My Ol'man was never abusive to me. He never spit on me. He loved me til the day he died. Speaking of my first for those of you who get confused. Ol'ladies give all to the men they choose to because they earn it. If she's his property its because she gave herself to him. Hell for that matter he was MINE. There was never any question or doubt about where our priorities were. For those of you younger who think "ownership" or being someone's ol'lady means being treated like a dog... I suggest you find yourself a real biker who understands what its really about and stop reading Hell's Angels 101 for the year 2006

Sweetie it just goes with the saying... "If you gotta ask then you wouldn't understand!" Rock on!! I like what you said which clarified it wonderfully,

"Ol'ladies give all to the men they choose to because they earn it. If she's his property its because she gave herself to him."

If my man owns me its because I saw that he was worthy of my trust and I chose to GIVE him the gift of myself!! No better feeling nor gift on this earth!!
