Older Men, Younger Women

Used to feel the way you do now. Up until my 40's I was mostly with men who were 10 - 15 yrs older.

Now in my 50's, forget it! You can really tell the age difference now. As these same/type men approach retirement and/or retire they change a lot. Do they think so? Heavens no! they still think they can/should have the much younger women. Sorry, but when the guy is so tired on vacation that he goes to bed at 8:30PM during Bike Week, it's time for a trade in!

Forget the night life. Or things you did when younger. Haven't found one yet that can/wants to do those things even occasionally. Of course, they still "think" they haven't changed at all and still can do everything, just don't want to now!

I am very young, but I have lived more of a life than those much older than me. I have had two serious relationships, one with a someone my age, then the second with a man that I adore and will never forget. He was 42. Love is a force of it's own, it is the only unconditional and non-judgemental emotion we are capable of!!

I have to admit various folk in the previous posts have hit it on the head, there is no hard and fast rule, people are so very different. To be honest thats probably one of their finest attributes, no matter what you imagine of them, they always has the ability to leap out and suprise you!

I guess I'd better say hi as this is my first post :)

When I see a picture like yours I know exactly why I like younger women! Wow. My ex wife is my age (43) and we may as well have been born on different planets. My wife is 29 and we see eye to eye on just about everything. Nothing to do with age, everything to do with attitude toward life.

So at what point do you consider us to be "older"? I manage to have fun no matter where I go or who happens to be along. As for stability, I've learned that comes from within.... If you're not good in your own skin, no amount of money or security can fix that. You just end up feeling trapped and smothered.

being in the classication of "older man", I certainly am in favor of older man - younger woman!!!

Seriously, I believe that it depends on the people involved. I had a special lady in my life for a couple of years who was half my age. We taught each other a whole bunch of stuff. The main reason that it ended was she wanted to be a mom and did not see us going in that direction.

Very True!!! However Age Doesn't Always Mean Wisdom..... And Wisdom Doesn't Always Mean Age!!!
And I'd be MORE than happy just to find a REAL MAN.... Then age wouldn't matter!!! x

to me its pretty simple, but depends what your looking for i guess girls that want to date to fall in love and get married and have lil babies would go for guys their own age. but for me, i reckon older men have more to offer than young men- at twenty years of age who dya reckon a girl would choose, a guy in his fourties with a house, knowledge, a car/bike, money to do what he wants with, life experience, maturity- in that he knows what to appreciate and how to show it, or a young bloke that doesnt know his head from his tail, hasnt experienced life yet, spends his muney on computer games and getting wasted, lives with his parents, older men have lived and have had time to discover what their priorities are in life and usually, there prioritys are pretty good! what i dont understand (apart from the one obvious reason!) is how older men can put up with younger girls! girls at that age are just as bad as guys but in different ways, they dont know who they are yet- they get jealous and moody alot more than a older woman would get (i think!!! or are woman always like that?) n e way, on a more shallow level, blokes get hotter as they get older definately!

My friend only dates younger, she says that they are less cynical, as they've not been hurt so badly, however, i much prefer a man who has wisdom, thoughtfulness and knowledge... now knowledge over stamina, wins everytime.

Age doesn't matter although I think I will lean toward a man older then me as I have had bad luck with men my age and younger but I dont think all men my age group and younger are "bad".

wow...with everyone quoting EVERY SINGLE EMAIL THAT WAS WRITTEN BEFORE THEIRS....ITS A LONG WAY TO THE BOTTOM!! Get the hint? Anyway, this, as with most things in life, is all a matter of perspective. If you're talking about a 40 year old man and an 18 year old girl, I just don't see it. Yes there are young women out there who look very nice, but to those of us with brains, that's where that whole thing would end. There's nothing an 18 year old can teach me about life, and I don't want to spend half my life explaining who Pink Floyd and Paul Newman were. Now then, if we're talking about a 50 year old man with a 35 year old woman, that's different. She's a mature woman and has much to offer in the way of communication and insight. My personal story is that I've always dated women my age or older. Perhaps it's because I've been given a good deal of gray matter between my ears and needed the maturity of an older woman. Perhaps it was because they would do things in the bedroom that a younger woman would not, perhaps both. At 42 years old, I limit my searches on here to 35-50. I'm sure there are plenty of women out there a little younger than that who could make me happy, but I'm guessing I'm more compatible with those in my own age range or a little older. Maybe when I turn 50 I'll have a lobotomy and go around chasing 20 year old strippers, but I seriously doubt it.

I noticed a thread about the opposite - younger men.older women - so being a very fair person and not wanting to leave anyone out, I thoght I'd see if there was any interest from anyone regarding younger women and older men. To me, age is really not that important. It's really about the person themselves; their maturity, their personality, etc.

slim, this isn't a mid-life crisis is it?

I have met a man 15 years younger and he is EXTREMELY REPSPONSIBLE compared to some men that are my age or older. Could it be that he has a PHD in Psychology...probably but he is VERY mature in his thinking and acting.
