I always wanted to be a hippie Spyder. I was just born a little too late.
Hey FastRat...we've had that question asked her about a hundred times in the past couple of years...take no offense...we just kinda get tired of that question.....
As far as response time.....think most peeps are out riding and it's taking longer for posts to be read...be patient!
BTW...welcome to the jungle!

C'mon, I'm FastRat, sometimes, I'm impatient! I need to know now! lol I just can't help it. Being realtively new to the site, I had no idea the "real biker" debate had been going on. But hey, I finally got some responses. lol

Badges, we don't need no stinkin' badges! lol
I just put the gear head thing out there so as not to disappoint any one expecting a Daytona style fashion show. There is no set rule to response time, but be advised, the hotel rooms fill up fast. If you like to camp, there are sites available

FastRat write: This rally is more for gear heads than the yuppie "see and be seen" crowd. Hence the comment about "real bikers". Plus, this was posted for sometime before I got any responses. And if I rattle some cages, all the better! lol Its not that big a of a rally only a couple of thousand people and this year will only be the 7th annual. But if you're into one of a kind, homebuilt bikes, this is the place to be.
So...in order to tell the yuppies from the gearheads, are we handed a badge at the gate?Ya know, kind of like those high school reunion badges?????

FastRat write: OK, here's the deal. It's run by the guys that publish "The Horse-Backstreet Chopper". They are about old school, home built choppers and bobbers. They frown on trailer queens and garbage barges like the stuff Orange County puts out. You will see very few of the "Big Name" builders there. It's held in Salisbury, NC on June 23 & 24. Exit 78 off I-85
I may be riding down from Va with a Bud. If the Weather don't suck.
