Well folks, this was "a day". First off, I found my old dog had crossed over, when I went out to feed. He wasn't much, as far as dogs go, I guess. Not too brave and a definate wussy when it came to vets. But still, he was a faithful companion and even at over a hundred years old (by human age) still a skirt chaser.
Then I came in and read an email. It seems that one of my old prospecting buddies had turned his house over to his son for financial reasons. The son went out and borrowed a large sum of money on the place, but didn't make the first payment. Saturday morning my friend was presented an eviction notice.
Despondent and having no place to live, yesterday afternoon, he took his life.
No. I guess this hasn't been one of my better days. I'll see em both a little further up the trail.

Brother Bear
I wish I had words to help carry you thru this very difficult time but I don't, I can tell you this I know God has a greater plan for each of us and you're right you will see your friend down the road. You were there for me during my loss and as fresh as that loss still is I want you to know that if you need me I'm here for you Brother. e-mail or call me if you need someone to talk to.. You are in my prayers everyday but tonight and for the near future I'll say an extra one for your friend and to give you comfort during this very sad time.

Bear,
Sorry about your friend, life is not fair at times. I know I've had my times when I question the road I'm on. I'm also sorry about your puppy, when my dog passed on it put me in therapy. I hope today is a better day.

I just read your post, bear, and wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about the deaths of both your dog and your friend. Wish I could give you a hug in person, but for now this will have to do ...
