This is a great thread!
Hello and welcome to all the newbies. Welcome to the 'Coo Coo train'. Good one Jade!
I would like torecommend a great beginner bike for women. I am petite and the virago 535 around 1994 is an excellent starter bike. Light, easy to handle, and plenty of power. Doc hopped on one I was tying on in Boston. he's a big dude and had it up to 80mph in no time flat. It is easy to handle, great on twisties. Even comes in purple!
Happy riding, and thanks for the good info.
mick2003 write: Outdoorsman: Sometimes words have a way of being misunderstood. For instance, I think I saw that you said, "to go left, push to left, and to go right, push to right" or something like that.
But in my measley 38 years of riding, I have found that, at moderate to high speeds, to go left, you push "to" (toward) the right, that is, push "on" the left bar - which throws the bike to the left, and to go right, you push "to" (toward) the left, or push "on" the right bar which throws the bike to the right.
For the longest time,I had wondered, when watching motorcycle road races, why, at 120+ mph around curves, the wheel was facing a different (opposite) direction than the path of the bike.
This would be different at slow speeds.
Is this what you meant?

Hi ALL, this place is cool.
I found BK by accident while renewing my HOG memberhip.
I'm like a kid in a candy store in here trying to take it all in. The only part that about that is I'm not getting anything else done around my rally point. Anyways, look forward to chatting and meeting new friends and creating new memories.
Hey Baby Girl...Welcome and have fun!...Just watch out for these ol'e men....LOL....Sorry guys....LOL....I have a daughter older than her...It's just a mom thing!
