He had gotten the call on a rainy Monday. Business was uneasy. He flipped open a pack of cigarettes and considered the situation.

The brunette walked in. Everyone stopped in their tracks to gander at her. She was a beauty all right, had all the right stuff. Someone offered her a drink before she even sat down, but she took the stool next to him.

What was it? Was it the perfume? The mixture of body scent with the regular odor of a sleezy bar? It was more intoxicating than even the booze that was flyin' from the swift hand of the seasoned bartender with the captivating eyes and laced leather chaps.

He ordered another cold beverage with a nod, tilting his head towards the sky. Obedient, she grabbed the glass, dumped out the contents and refilled it with fresh ice.

The sound of the cue ball breaking the rack, the hard rock beat and singing of the patrons, it was too much. And the brunette, she was right there, next to him, he was speechless.

Ms Kitty walked out of her office to spot behind the bar near the pool table. This move caught the Bear off guard. He wouldn't take his eyes off of her. The Doubled one was getting hammered and laughing at everything and everybody in the joint. The jukebox played on.

And the brunette, still, He felt her elbow brush his arm as she took off her jacket. He shuddered, then looked her way and said..............
