I'm Sorry about your son Jaded! I have a 16 year old doing the same thing (Drinking and driving) as I speak. I know who and what he is, I just hope and pray that one day I'll get to meet his sponsor.

Hi everyone,
I just went on that Texas BK rally and it was alot of fun. There was no heavy boozing going on and when we stopped at the honky tonks people where very responsible. I would do it again. Everyone was very respectful of my sobriety and everyone was curious and asked questioned or related stories.

Congratulations to every clean and sober rider out there and prayers for those who haven't yet come in from the cold. I've been clean and sober 13 years and these have been the best 13 years of my life! It's just as much fun riding from Dairy Queen to Dairy Queen as it was riding from bar to bar and lot safer!!!
ronrob33 write: Yea... I know... It's March already! Only one real good weekend ride since New Years here in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. There are about 9 of us clean and sober riders who meet for coffee every Friday eve and pick a meeting out of the schedule and after the meeting we eat somewhere and then head home. Anyone out there going to the ISR in Colorado this year? Went last year for the first time and there were 750 bikes in the parade through Cedaredge. What a rush!! That, to me, was what sobriety IS...that much fun and remember it too?? How cool. Any Central California sober riders out there on BK? Send a "hey" and have a really good clean sober summer full of rides!!! If you are good at puzzles try this out... cleansoberbikers ... hope you find us.
Howdy,
Thanks for the puzzle....went there and registered..
used to live in the valley...SACTO
and spent lots of time in Siskiyou back in the 70's.... lots of speed and booze..made some lifelong connections there... sadly most have died from the disease, just a couple of us made it to recovery..
It was in the 50's today.. got a couple of hours in on the scooter; but back to the 30's and 40's for the next week :>( Here is a photo of a few of us in 75 in reno...went down for a wedding...I am on the right,,
Hey Ronrob that is the life. That is what serenity is all about. I get together every weekend with sober bikers and ride and ride and ride. How serene and peaceful.
I get to your neck of the woods a couple of times a year.

Thanks to all of you.
Yeah , I am surprised at how happy I feel today! And proud. Now there is a feeling that took a while to feel! I am on the 8th step...did a lot of damage in 37 years of hard using...but the shame is taking a back seat to feeling good about myself...just for today !
And for any of you out there lurking, please know that if I can do it you can too.
