What's Wrong With This World We Live In?

I sit here tonight wondering. Wondering what happened to this world we live in.
How can there be so many walking dead in this world?
What ever happened to loving and giving unconditionally?
What ever happened to strength and perserverence?
What ever happened to stabilty and a person's word?

When did all the hope and love leave this world?

And why didn't anyone ever tell me it left?

I feel like the bu*tt of someone's really bad joke.

Lo,thank you Spyder for the emails and your offer to ride in this wonderful weather. Your words helped more than you could know.
LadyV,thank you also. And you're right. Helping others is my occupation, I see the worst and the best in people at my job.I keep thinking maybe in some way I can touch some sad, lost soul that will have a positive effect in their otherwise neagtive life.
Reece, funny you should mention Gibran. Angel,Rich, and I went to the movies this weekend, and someone had a book by him in their hands. A sign maybe?

HDdude, your post made me laugh. Glad you understand the s*ick medical humor.

I know I missed many who posted, but you're all in my thoughts.

Yes,life is hard, but thank God for Wonderful friends.

The flow of charges attracted by difference neutralizes the pole when saturated by sufficient ions. So maybe positive people recognize negativity and are more aware of it because they are suppose to smother it in positive energy to neutralize it.

Sorry folks. I didn't mean to bring anyone of you down. Maybe it was the full-moon. Maybe I was just having a bad week(lol...Kin,I am normally an optipmistic person, but sometimes I have things thrown at me that can be hard to take at times, just like everyone else).
Thanks to everyone who posted their concern and kind words. Thanks G for posting the pics. Those were good times, weren't they? Hopefully they'll be more to come.

But this thread really wasn't about me...it's about the rest of the world.

Wait, isn't that what crazy people say?

Nodey,

The issue is the health of the collective/global consciousness. The majority seem to be under an old influence whose ways are waning, but those who carry a new vision are small in number and have not gathered that number as was done in the 60's to sing a new world in to being. (Despite the propaganda and infiltration to defeat it that is what was happening. "was it only a fitful dream of some greater awakening." Jackson Browne) maybe that awakening is now.
What needs to be done?
Values need to change character needs to bring you more honor than monetary wealth and possessions.
What if the only currency to be exchanged for goods and services was your reputation and character? You helped others and others helped you. How you treated people directly affected your material comforts because it was your relationships that were important and not your ownership.
The focus has to be on people on relationships and who we are as a family of human beings. It starts with you and I. Instead of being isolated and holed up waiting for the bad news to just keep rolling in; we need to walk into the darkness with our light and Love in the face of ugliness.
Love is a more powerful energy than any horror you can see around you. The message of Christ was to Love one another even when they crucify you; forgive them. It is the only way to begin change. You can not change the world by force or power which are the shadows of Love. If you want a new world it is by the energy and truth of Love alone that you will call it in to being.
Secondly, the individual psyche needs to make its family with people sharing the dream. When we collect, when we form families, we are strengthened in our struggles as Doc has strengthened you through Love. "When two or more" when we gather we form a new collective consciousness, one candle becomes five, that becomes 20 that becomes a hundered that one day becomes a sun that dawns a new day.

I have cried out like you before when feeling Blue and looking at the world. It is only a call for Love and nothing to regret. Let me wash your eyes that they may see a dream within, let your friends share pictures to remind you that it is and read your Kahlil Gibrahn to bolster your soul.

Peace and Love Sister--Remember in the end Love embraces all!
Reese
Just another crazy person.

Nodey I don't know what is up with the world these days. Perhaps it is Dr. Spock's worst nightmare coming to realization? Although there is a NA movement hoping for world peace that seems worlds away.
All we can do is live our own life and hope that in some small way we give something back by helping others along the way. We can't change the world and we can not make a difference in everyone's life, but we will make a difference for some. That is the best that we can hope for and you know you have touched many hearts here.

NODEY....I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WORLD.....AND THE PEOPLE IN IT.....IT'S ALMOST LIKE IT'S BECOME A WORLD OF "WELL, I'M GONNA GET THEM BEFORE THEY GET ME" THINKING....THE ONLY THING I DO KNOW, IS THERE WILL ALWAYS BE GOOD AND BAD, AND IT SEEMS THE GOOD ARE A DYING BREED, BUT THERE STILL ARE SOME GOOD PEOPLE AROUND.....I GUESS THAT IS WHO AND WHAT WE NEED TO HANG ON TO WITH ALL OUR MIGHT, AND JUST LET THE OTHERS GO ON THEIR WAY AND HOPE THAT SOMEDAY SOMETHING WILL BRING THEM AROUND......I JUST DON'T GET IT WHY PEOPLE HURT OTHER PEOPLE, MAYBE THAT'S THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN JUSTIFY THEIR EXISTANCE IN THEIR MIND....AND FOR THAT I DO FEEL SORRY FOR THEM.....BUT AS HISTORY AND THE PAST HAS SHOWED US, THE GOOD ALWAYS COMES THRU, WE JUST HAVE TO HANG IN THERE..........

Nodey,

It could be worse. The abdominal flat plate you just took could show a gerbil or your favorite ring.

Steel Magnolia time, you have already seen worse and got through worse and came through better.

Nodey,
Please forgive me if i sound preachy at all. I don't mean to. Just meant to help lighten your load. Sometimes I sound (read) as preachy. ICK!!

It's a bummer that we learn through pain. The key is we LEARN, and grow.
We learn who to give our trust to and how to recognize who NOT to give it to. Unselfish people are everywhere. They take care of themselves first.

Co-dependance: doing for others to their own/other's detriment. Enabling of 'bad' behavior.
Independence: Doing only for oneself.
Inter-dependence: Working in harmony with others for the utmost in emotional and physical well-being. The real Love in action.
I came to visit Doc partially because his house is truly a safe house for women.
After over 3 weeks of harmony at it's best with his family, I am back to being me. I feel rejuvinated, and peaceful.
I wish the same feelings for you Nodey.
Your life-story is just in transition.
Hugz,
