Dang, Jerry...I waited long enough! Figured I'd have to start this thread for you!

OK, so far we're looking at April, right? Char & Squirrel will let us know the dates they expect to cruise through the closer time gets, right?

Char, I forgot to mention on the other thread about music. You said you'd HAVE to hear some live music. Girl, Austin is the Live Music Capitol of the World! Everytime I leave one of our dingey, little blues dives, it amazes me the raw talent we have right here. You won't want to leave!

There is one chick we HAVE to catch while you're here. Carolyn Wonderland. She plays at Sturgis each year. She's got a lot of Janis Joplin in her. The first time I saw her, I bought her CD. I have NEVER done that for anyone else.

Anyway, let us know the dates ya'll will be coming through as soon as you can. I'm going to try to take a couple days of vacation when you do.

And you'll need to learn our lingo before you get here. It's "ya'll" for 'you all', and we don't use the words 'about to' together. Like, "I'm 'about to' leave". Down here, it's "I'm fixin' to leave".

Oh, and we borrow the word "Cerveza" from Mexico quite often, too!!

I am so glad ya'll had such a good time. I knew you would. Haven't been to a meet-n-greet yet that we didn't have a wonderful time.

It's not like meeting a stranger for the first time...we are not strangers. We already know each other so well. It's so comfortable and there is no awkwardness. Family...yep, closer than family sometimes.

I so regret not being able to make it there. I ended up staying till the end of April in FL. I had no transportation while I was there or I would have driven or rode over. My friend Mike from NW Ohio came to FL to bring me home.

Lord willin' I'll have the opportunity to meet ya'll in the future sometime, somewhere. I know JJ is coming to my party 'Thunderstock II'...Cinderella is planning on it too....and I think it was Roy who mentioned rounding up a bunch of you Texans to ride up here.

YOU ARE ALL MORE THAN WELCOME...altho I am not the good planner that ya'll had. I don't have a river, but I do have a campfire pit...lol and a huge backyard for camping.

Guadalupe Outpost refunded my monies w/o a problem. That was good.

But anyway....I am so sorry I missed it.

jjgirl,
Was out with Betty and Jerry the other night, we were talking about the day of your accident.

That morning you'de gotten your bike blessed by the CMA (Canyon Lake Tx. chapter), and then later had a drop that got your leg hurt.

Well about seven weeks before that, I'd been dateing a girl who's a member of that chapter..
They blessed my bike and we went on a ride with the chapter..
At one stop I was parking my ride on a gravel lot, when I brushed a steel pipe in the lot with my engine guard.
I also dropped my bike, no damage at all, really just lowered it down to the ground before picking it back up.

It was the first time in years I'd had something like that happen.
One of the guys made a comment about "Look at that.. you get the bike blessed and then you lay it down.. Whats up with that?"

Anybody asks you that question JJ, you just give them the same answer I did.

"Well the Good Lord knew I was due for an accident. But since I just got the bike blessed, he let me have that accident here at a standstill.. instead of out there on the road at seventy miles an hour."

Tom.

Thought that was a neat coincidence..

Yes Nodey, I agree, that's a really BIG FOOT. SO big, in fact, that I think u should change your name to JJBigFoot. Wouldn't that help make it easier to distinguish u from JJGeorgiaPeach? LOL

Just kidding gf. U are one of a kind and no way anyone would ever forget U!

HUGS

Trust me, after meeting this sweet lady in New Braunfels at the Rally.

You can take it from me...

Any guy shes talking to, will be so mesmerized by her beautiful eyes and great sense of humor, that he won't even notice the freakishly large foot until she kicks him with it.

Nodey, my comments were not directed at you, nor at a lot of folks here. The ones that it was intended for should know who they are. Again, I will say what a wonderful bunch of people I met & what a great time we all had.

Linda,I would email you,but I let my membership expire.I know you made the post out of frustration, and I was only injecting humor into a bad situation. You know it's just my way of doing things.
I understand you are upset, but we are supposed to come together as a family, remember those days? When one is hurt,we recognize it,then deal with it on a mature level. Then if the other refuses to respond in the same way,we walk away knowing we did all we could.

Oh,and for the "clique" thing, way I look at it,I'm cool enough to crash any clique's party. What's the worst they can do,ignore me? That's ok too, because while they are busy ignoring me,I'm busy drinking THEIR beer and eating THEIR food.

lol...im thirsty too nodey!!!

For those other 26 people that were at the Texas Rally, what an absolutely awesome time we all had! For the rest of you, especially the ones of you that decided Texas wasn't worth the effort, you are the losers this time! The weather was gorgeous, the company was fantastic & the rides mapped to perfection so that everyone could take their pick & still see some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. You guys don't have any idea what a great time you missed.
And to those of you that chose to cop an attitude, so to speak, about the people that were kind enough to put this together, you really need to take a serious look at your own attitudes. Not a single person there was rude, unfriendly, nor snobbish to anybody else. Far more than I can say for many of you as I have felt for many months that your "click" is selective & you exclude many of us on this site because we don't fit into the mold that you think we should. I could point fingers at many of you have intentionally ignored me & others.

Gee Linda,I didn't realize I was THAT big of a loser.

Seriously, first of all,I'm glad you all had a great time. It would have been nice to have had the resources to make this trip.
Secondly,I can relate to your frustration.I remember the good ole days when we were ALL a family here. No matter our differences,we stuck together. It was a true biker community here. There was a sense of sisterhood and brotherhood. No one was left out in the cold. We took care of our own ,whether by a kind word or gesture,or by a swift kick in the butt.Might have been some harsh, but truthful words. But it was done out of concern, not disdain and malice.I'm afraid those days are long gone now. I stick around in hopes of it returning, throwing in a comment here and there.

On the upside, there are still some here who are genuine. Not having to brag about who or what they are.If you look hard enough, you'll find them.

Hope I didn't step on any toes,but that's my story,and I'm sticking to it.

Don't know about the CLICK or The mold deal... But i did stay in a Holiday Inn last night!! Just think that it's there lost!!! Started reading this BK, chit about trips, rallys and the conversations between Nodey & that eye dude,,,,,couldnt figure how if that was a mask or for real???? Butt of the serious side sorry the hear about jj,,,,get well soon sister!!

Lol,nice to see you again Doakman. That was a long time ago. That Eye sure was a card. I miss him.I hear he had surgery to correct that face of his.

And you should come to some of these get-togethers.Lots of great people are to be met.

Wow,JJ,what a big foot you have. I bet you don't get many dates hauling that thing around.

Seriously,I hope your surgery goes well and you're back on your feet soon. You may not be able to ride your own the rest of the summer, but within a month, you could have someone feel sorry enough for you to take you for a ride to cure your fix to be in the wind.

OK, gang, I need to apologize for my post. It did not come out the way I intended for it to. What I MEANT was that it was a loss of not getting to meet all the wonderful folks that were there NOT that you were losers for not attending. There were a select few that voiced their opinions about an email that floated around (that many of us didn't see by the way so we had no idea what was being referred to) and said that Texas was not worth the effort. Those are the people that I meant were the losers. I am sorry if I offended anyone with my original post.
I will slink back into my corner now & keep my mouth shut.

I agree with you Nodey. You know Tnbrowneyes. Yes We had a great time and it was a great group of people. But damn girl the ones who didn't show up are not losers. They had there reasons. It doesn't matter, if it is NY, Cuts, Chars or Docs, BIKERS ARE ONE HELL OF A COMMUNITY, WE STICK BY EACH OTHERS. Its not where or who you are. WE are all one!!!!!! Please your post was not call for.

I'm sorry I had to vent, I don't like seeing negativity when its not needed.

Amen Nodey...I had full intentions of going to Texas also but things just didn't work out for me to go & I just couldn't justify paying close to $350 for an airline ticket for a few days...not when I went to NYC in January for our BK get together & my ticket was $198. Was I going through withdrawls this last weekend? You bet I was! I wanted to be there along with everyone else!
I'm just happy that everyone had a wonderful time this last weekend & with getting together...I just feel horrible for Jjgirl though that she got hurt. Thank goodness that she had good friends around her when it happened & took care of her...
I sure hope also that I haven't stepped on anyone's toes here on the site...that's the last thing that I would ever intend to do...
Peace...
