Are there any dealers in the New England area that dont price gouge? I've been to several in my area. Most are pricing way over MSRP. Mike's Famous in Delaware shocked me yesterday! Bikes were priced 5 to 10 thousand over list price. This is ridiculous. Salesman told me they were the #1 dealer in the world and had a lot of overhead with their big store. Told him I wasnt impressed by a fancy showroom and his prices were way to high. Typical slick salesman says well lets not worry about price lets find a bike you like! I asked him if he was going to make the payments for me! Well we can work out payments later... I walked out. Somewhere some place there has to be a dealer who sells you a bike at a fair price.

I got a great deal @Baer's in Honesdale Pa. I told a couple other friends & they got good deals too.Mine was a 03 Road King Classic, paid $18,300 the same bike @ Mikes was $25,300. Also the 1st. 2 services are free you buy the oil& filter. This is a pretty good xtra if you've seen the price of initial services about $250.00 each. My friend got a 883 sporty $2500. less than Steels or Trimounton. The only thing is they can't reg it you have to go pay take the papers back to N.J. & reg. pat sales tax & go back n get it.Thjey are right on Rt.6 the whole town is nice also & a good ride up also.

Tiny--that was where i was going to recommend--i got mine at William's but was told they up-price theirs--mine was turned in so it was used and for whatever reason i got a great price there

yet i've had several recommend your Baer's for pricing--as a matter of fact a couple that i met today always bought there

also have heard that the dealers out by Harrisburg are pretty good also

your better off at Legends than Trimounton

A reasonably priced Harley Dealer? You will find one right next to the tooth ferry, an honest used car salesman, and santa claus. If you find any of these three, you will also find a reasonably priced Harley Dealer.

Try h-dogdotcom. This is HD of greenville SC. Talk with sally. I know the Carolinas is a bit far but the price may be worth the travel.

Telling him not to touch the bikes would have been better. My 11 year old isnt stupid , he's not going to knock a bike over. This guy b*tched because now he had to wipe off fingerprints not because he was worried about a bike falling over. I've been to a lot of dealers in my area and most wont let you sit on a bike without them holding it up. I know what you are saying about them falling over but this was no way to talk to a potential customer.

Hey thanks a lot Midnight. I'll have to look into that store. The HD store in Long Branch NJ seemed to be right around MSRP but they didnt have much of a selection. But the salesman there did let me sit on bikes unsupervised! Perhaps because I was walking around with my helmet in hand? I dont know. Another store a little further South who advertises "Our bikes have the attitude not our people" Had some helpful salesman and one guy who biched that my 10 year old touched a bike and now he would have to clean it!
I told him thats your job then so go and do it and you missed a few spots on this one! Again, walked out all P.O.ed This keeps up and I'm just going to buy a used bike.

Ummmmmm dude your B*TCHING cuz someone yelled at your son for keeping his hands off the harleys?? Well I hate to say this but if I owned a HD STORE and your son was touching my bikes I woulda yelled at him too.. Do you realize that if he "BUMPED" into one by mistake that it woulda caused a chain reaction and ummmmmm think about it.. NOT GOOD.. :(

Fishin:

I dont know about New England, but seeing your from NJ, you may want to check out:

Harley-Davidson of Essex
168 Bloomfield Ave
Bloomfield, NJ 07003
9737482500
www dot hdessex dot com

I don't work there, don't own it, just someone who's been doing business with them since I was 15. Most of my family has purchased a bike from them over the years. A good, long time, local Harley shop.

Good Luck!

If he was looking at Mike's Famous he was interested in buying a Harley.Battley may sell British and Japanese manufacture's scoots below retail, but they don't sell Harley's at less than retail.

They also have salesmen that will take care of your needs after the sale.
