LOVE IS.... Romance

Love is what you feel for someone or something close to you, whether it is a relative, friend or even a pet. Either one is great just as long as you love, because a life without love isn't really a life at all, for there is no happiness in your life without it. Some say love is live a flower; it blooms andgrows, but I don't think anyone could explain love unless they have felt it. And, even then sometimes, you still can't, for love goes deeper than explanation, to the very soul of someone's body, and will always be ther forever. So, if love finds you, don't be afraid to follow it. For behind that love may be the person that you are destine to love for all eternity.

Just my take in few words.

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you
back when you hang up on him, who will stay awake just to watch you
sleep. Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show
you off to the world when you are in your sweats, who holds your
hand in front of his friends, Wait for the one who is constantly
reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to
have you. Wait for the one who turns to his friends and
    says,".....that's her."

That is so nice!Just what I'm looking for.

A kiss in the darkness, with a gentle touch that says; "I'm close." A feeling of warmth where there is no fire. A passing wisp of a scent that brings a smile with every memory unleashed. The wiping away of saddness and tears on a cloudy day, with only a hanky and a soft kiss on the forehead. A connecting smile across a crowded room. Laughing until it hurts and then going back for more. Growing old, and still seeing the person within as though it were but yesterday when they first captured your eye, one hand on a cane the other clasped tightly as both walk hand-in-hand in the park.

A warm hug that says; "Don't change a thing, I'm happy with you just the way you are..."

    Love is
an understanding that is so complete that
you feel as if you are a part of the other person
accepting the other person just the way they are
and not trying to change them to be something else
Love is the source of unity

It's like the Ying and the Yang.....Two seperate entities coming together as one!

Sometimes I'm sorry and ashamed of the past. Many years lived without knowing what love is. Mistaking love for lust, looking at the package and not what's inside.

It took a tradgedy to teach me about love. My oldest daughter was killed in an auto acident a little more than 14 years ago.

When she left this world, a void existed in my heart and soul. Many people less fortunate have had their lives dismantled after such an event.

For some reason unbeknownst to me, The Creator showed me what love really is. I cannot explain it, but you'll know it when it happens. Whether it's a soul mate or a child, a parent, friend or even an enemy, love exists in all of us.

    Let it out.

Wow, ronmack1 you put my hidden desires into words with that one, brought tears to my eyes. Totally caught me offguard.

I know they exist, I've seen them. Wonder if one like that and I will ever find each other. Ah, well, if it's meant to be, it will happen. Just hope I ain't in a nursing home by then. LOL

    An old poem:

Love is a far off country
    behind my truelove's eyes
where the beauty of love's laughter
    brings stars to starless skies

I seek this far off country
where the cold moon never chills
and they say the price of happiness
is the thunder in the hills

Nope didn't make sense to me, either.
But thought it was pretty : )

BB- Possibly that the thunder represents the turmoil, (may be noisy) that is in the background?

I liked it... as I have liked every one you have shared. If you have a few minutes, would you mind sending me an email attachment with some of them included?
    Thanks!
    Hugs,
    DD

You're right SJ, use those stones to build a solid foundation so your new love doesn't topple as easily as the old ones did. Acceptance of each others' differences and applications is love for me. I stayed up till 1am changing the fluids in Bettys' Lowrider so she could ride today before the cold front hits tomorrow.

sooooooooo right Jerry--we have learn from the past to make a better future

    LOVE IS...............................
    ......................................
Never gonna be the same again, with each failed relationship one experience's some soft tender places are replaced with piece's of stone. To keep one's expectations of a new relationship low will minimize the damage when it fails!.

Here are a few poems from one of my favorites, Susan Polis Schultz, from her book "I Want to Laugh, I want to Cry".
    #1
    You are mine
    and I am yours
    in love
    I am I
    and you are you
    in thought
    Independently
    we share our lives
    together
    #2
    Your heart is my heart
    your truth is my truth
    your feeling is my feeling
But the real strength of our love
is that we share rather than
    control each other's lives.
    #3
I am so happy with you
I can discuss all my thoughts, or
I don't have to say anything
    You always understand
I am so relaxed with you
    I don't need to pretend
I don't need to look good
You accept me for what I am.
I am so strong with you
I depend on you for love
but I live my own life
You give me extra confidence to succeed.
    #4
    Those in love
    must remain complete people
    first unto themselves
    and then to each other.
    #5
    Someone
    to talk with
    to dance with
    to sing with
    to eat with
    to laugh with
    to cry with
    to think with
    to understand
    Someone
    to be my friend.

Thank you for letting me share these poems...

    Tx_Whisk write:
While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.
"That's my son over there," she said, pointing to a
little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.
"He's a fine looking boy" the man said. "That's my son on the swing in the blue sweater.
" Then, looking at his watch, he called to his son.
"What do you say we go, Todd?"
Todd pleaded, "Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes."
The man nodded and Todd continued to swing to his heart's content.
Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his son. "Time to go now?"
Again Todd pleaded, "Five more minutes, Dad. Just five
    more minutes."
The man smiled and said, "O.K."
"My, you certainly are a patient father," the woman responded.
The man smiled and then said, "My older son Tommy was killed by a
drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here.
I never spent much time with Tommy and now I'd give anything
for just five more minutes with him. I've vowed not to make the
same mistake with Todd. He thinks he has five more minutes to swing.
The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch him play."
Life is all about making priorities, what are your priorities?
Give someone you love 5 more minutes of your time today.

Oh Tx...thank you for sharing this...thank you...I hope you have a blessed day...
