Hey Sisters! Last night I stopped & I bought myself some flowers just because. I don't have a guy in my life & I'm not feeling good now for over a week. So here I am at the store last night buying some more cans of Campbell Chicken soup & whatever else to take care of "me", when I walked past the floral dept. I thought, you know what girl? You stop right now & buy yourself a bouquet of flowers. Then as I was driving home I was thinking...you know what? Tomorrow you should declare it to your sisters on BK as it being "Today is stop & buy yourself some flowers day".
So you girls go out there today & stop & buy yourself a bouquet of flowers. Doesn't have to be expensive - under $10. But you know what? You are worth it! Plus it will bring a beautiful smile to your face & heart...
Oh heck...if any of you guys out there are reading this? Go out & buy yourself a bouquet of flowers too! Its sure to bring a smile to your face. Have a happy day everyone!

Just wanted to let all of you know? That on 9/26 I bought myself that bouquet of flowers, which then prompted me to start this thread on 9/27. The bouquet is still beautiful & breathtaking!!! It still brings a smile to my heart everytime I look at it.

yes we do forget we deserve to be treated special---i love going for a manicure and pedicure or a nice long massage--the little things that just feel good--no i don't care if i break a nail and won't do the fake things(they hurt to much when they break) but i love going and being pampered!!!!!

Thanks Rocky! I think sometimes us women forget that we are worth the money to spoil ourselves with flowers. And good idea! I will start the new thread right now after I finish writing this to you! And please don't hibernate...we'd miss you too much here g/f!

Even better. We went to our town's annual Harvest Tour of Farms today and one farm, The Cutting Garden let people cut all the free flowers they wanted from one of the gardens. Lots of dahlias and other flowers too. And my son cut some corn stalks to decorate for autumn/Halloween. What great fun!

You're so welcome, Seeme...I just think that we tend to forget ourselves & remembering that we are special & that it's ok for us to treat ourselves to the beauty of flowers. Sure is a pick-me-uper. The flowers that I bought for myself the night before I wrote this thread? They're just beautiful & they make me smile everytime I look at them! So it makes my heart smile that you treat yourself everytime you go food shopping & buy yourself flowers! I've also gotten flowers for male friends & I think it surprises them when they receive them. They are just as deserving of them though too!

Oh Roxie...Well, you know what my friend? You just go right out there this weekend & buy yourself a pretty bouquet of flowers. You so deserve it!

i buy myslef flowers all the time--Shop Rite (grocery store) has 3 bunches for $10--i buy them everytime i go food shopping and have for years--and i have a good loving friend that sends me flowers alot--sometimes too often

i also will sometimes send flowers to some of my male friends for birthdays or fathers day if i'm not with them!!!

i've had several old high school male friends that were surprised to get them--they had never received flowers from any female in their life let alone just a friend!!!!!ohhhhhhh i send them to their work--not homes

Well HarleyGurl? So are you so very cool...And yep, flowers are oh so very pretty & you are oh so very worth a pretty bouquet. My Mom always bought the Whitman Samplers every so often or Bridge Mix. I sometimes have a problem though with choosing which chocolate to taste because it never fails...the one I choose? It's a coconut one & I don't like coconut! And I'm not about to poke my finger in each one to see what is what!

THAT I'm guilty of doing about 2 or 3 times a year. I love ripping open one of those Russell Stover assortment packs and deciding which one I'll start with first!
