Can we sell stuff/trade here? Message board

Just thought of this. What if we have some bike stuff we want to get rid of? Maybe we could have a thread where we could post pics and either sell or trade with each other.

I'm going to be selling my bike in a month or so and wanting to buy another one. I'd be more apt to buy from someone I know than a stranger.

BTW...going to be looking for a Low Rider or Fatboy.

    Anyway...just an idea.

HG, that's a myth about the solid wheels, wind tunnel tests and all kindsa research, I've been there, done that, traded off a ride on my springer with a bro and his fatboy, no diff except the bumps bottom out the springer easier. Get what you like, you and I both know if there was a liability possibility involved, the Motor Company wouldn't be building them!

Ahhh...glad to hear that. I'm going to go test a few, hopefully by the end of Oct. If I go any sooner than that, I'll want to buy it right then. When it comes to that kind of stuff I tend to be a "I want it yesterday" kind of girl.

    I'm having to pace myself...ugh!

Hey HG, I'm having the same problem. Put myself on a 6 mth plan with 5 mths to go but "I want it yesterday" is a huge problem. Still haven't decided between the Heritage or the Lowrider. Fatboy has been suggested too. I can't wait to start testing them.

You're right about that Norty, and with mechanical issues, I agree with you. But you'll have to go with the fact that since there 'was' a problem, the Motor Co redesigned and redid, which I believe they would've done if there was a significant problem with solid wheels. I'm speaking from my own personal experience concerning using solid wheels, I just don't feel any difference with them. The wind is always blowing here in Tx, and moving me around whether I'm on my Springer, my Z1, my GS1000S, my rigid or my Ascot. I wouldn't be afraid to buy a bike with solid wheels, if that was the look I was going for.
HG, I'm willing to let you do a test drive on the springer, just for the experience and comparision. Good Hunting.

Yeah, that's what I've heard. I have a friend who just bought a Fatboy (against the advice of her husband!) and she told me she fights the wind alot. Of course, she hasn't yet admitted it to him! HA!

I thought about just putting on a spoke wheel but that would be about $1K+ and there are other places I'd rather put that money than on a wheel.

Like everything else, I'll know it when I see it. Whichever I end up with, I know I'll be ecstatic!!

HG, I will be doing the same. Sometime between Oct and Feb, will be looking at a Lowrider or Heritage. Just paid off the credit cards and putting that money in savings for a down payment. Selling the Intruder isn't easy, she's a jewell but a Harley is my dream.
