Helmet hair sucks I have been getting buzz cuts in the summer for the last ten years to avoid helmet hair. Maryland summers are brutal with sweaty hair here. I am going with long hair for a change this year until I cant take it antmore lol. It will be electric clipper time for me then.
cowboy hat for sure!!!.. the new ones are curled at the sides so they fit right up front between your shield if you have one and the instrument panel.. or they fit nicely in the saddle bags.. i dont pony tail it.. wild hair is fun!.. and feels the best flying behind you with a beanie helmut.. its sexy.. bed head for ladies who ride.. thats sexy!!..for me its the ride thats important anyhow..

the deadly comb out is such a bi tchhhh--i use redken anit-snap--works pretty good--but braid, rag and leather cover over the braid work the best!!!!
chit, I hear ya... My hair is soo long, I start to get dreads after half an hour on I95. I also use body silk, it's a pretty good product, for the frizz hair. Which I still get even w/ braids. Just my luck. LOL
i get the dreads under the do rag--and i know mine long also--butttttttttt i won't cut it and i won't stop riding---sooooooooo what is left--deal with it right????

i am a hairstylist that also rides and i do go top speeds none of what you have mentioned helpes my hair, so what i do with my long very curly hair is braid with a ruberband at top and bottom (i wear full face helmet) and i use biolage smooththerapie smooting serum and i detangle from the ends working up it is less damaging, and helps keep the dreads away
Helmet hair .. heck with it, do you think the guys care about helmet hair.. no. But if you want to avoid it (this from a woman with LONG THICK naturally CURLY hair .. i wear a bandana to keep it outta my face .. the rest flys free, i dont wear em do rag style .. no need to cover the top .. wear the bandana fat.. real fat that way u can take it off and ur hair is just fine .. no hat/helmet/bandana hair ... just a lil wind wild lookin ... guys luv it that way ..
