Bikeman,

My deepest heartfelt sympathies to you on the loss of your mom. She must have been a great lady to bring a man like you into this world.

Bikeman, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. I can tell you from personal experience that there is no love stronger than the love of a Mother and her Son, and vise-versa. I am sure you miss her terribly, but your Mother remains alive in your love and the memories of her.
I know you will cherish those loving memories forever, my friend. Remember, only the physical body dies..... spirits live on and stay with us forever~

I tried posting this under the family heading but it seems to have gotten lost. I figured I'd try it here. My Mom passed on March 13, 1995. The Monday before last was that date. That whole week I was in a funk and didn't even know why. I spoke to my sister and she reminded me. I came across the following last night. It is what my 1st wife read at my Mother's wake. It conveys what my Mother was about very effectively. It's a good reminder for me to be grateful for having her in my life. I just wanted to share it with you folks on here. I still can't get thru reading it without crying, here it is...

For those who can't be here today to say goodbye I would like to be
their voice. For all your friends you spent hours of time listening
to trying to help them through their turmoil and problems, no
questions asked as you always gave unselfishly.
THEY LOVE YOU

For all your children's friends who came to you in times of crisis
when they could not go home and needed a mother to hug
and hold them and re-assure them when no one else did...
you were always there for them.
THEY LOVE YOU

For all the people you cooked for over the years at work who with
much adoration called you "MAMA CLEO". You took them into your home as well as your life like all the others because that was you!
THEY LOVE YOU

For being a devoted Wife, a loving Mother and Sister a caring
Auntie, a wonderful listener to your friends and neighbors and a
DOTING GRANDMOTHER who taught her grandchildren loving,
caring, kisses, hugs, happy happies and esha and family is EVERYTHING
THEY LOVE YOU

These past few years though you tried and tried you could not do
all the things you did for everyone before, but your HEART OF GOLD
came through. You fought a brave and tough fight and it was hard to
watch someone with so much life, someone loved so much by so many with this miserable disease. It was rough for you to be taken
care of when you were always the caretaker. All these things you did without ever expecting anything in return, because that was the way
you were. No one will ever fill our lives with a warmer smile or a
bigger heart then yours. Thank you for your wisdom and patience
with all of us. You will be in our thoughts and prayers forever.
WE LOVE YOU

Distance doesn't matter.... not when you are here to meet up with other bikers and to make some new friends. I have made some great friends here at bk. Had I not joined I would have never met these people. That would have been a shame because I feel blessed that these people have come into my life. I am not just talking men either. My friends are both male and female. Although I will continue to read the forums posts and visit here often. Spring is here and it is time to get out and ride! I hope everyone finds what they are looking for here. Ride safe and ride free!
