OMG! What a great idea! Wish you were here in LA. Big city to set up something like what you spoke of! I have been going nutz trying to find a bike for myself: 5'2". And, clothes are a problem also. I would love to be able to go into a store that also has clothing that is from other companies besides Harley. A bunch of the stuff I get from there is made in third world countries, has to be hand washed in cold water, and laid flat to dry. What a bunch of chit that is. Harley then charges top dollar for womens clothes that some slave made for 10 cents a day. All American promoted-give me the money reality.
I also want to get some gear that is more protective gear in beautiful colors. I have been dreaming about designing and selling gear for women.
It's a big undertaking and needs a healthy backing of cash to get something like that going, so I dream on...

One of the things I've been very disappointed in is clothing. All of the cute little Harley and Chopper tank tops with spaghetti straps are made to fit flat-chested women. They would look much better on us well-endowed women. Where can we get the sexy tops?

I am with you goth when it comes to us busty woman you can forget finding anything cute... woiuld be very interested... oh that would be a great line of clothes... my mind is a turning now...

Try Halter tops gals. They are sexy too.

hahaha....I know thats right..most of them own more apparel with harley on it a week after they get their bike than I have owned all the years I have been riding. We have little jokes regarding that but I will be nice to dodge all the hate m a i l

Dayumm Dragon, I have outgrown all my old biker shirts, I keep them with the hope of turning them into pillows some day.
It's rare to see me in a biker shirt anymore.
    Seperates me from the rest!

75% of the floor space at my local Harley Dealer is clothing, they have a huge park out back and have benefits of some kind every other weekend. When you go inside the little kids are climbing all over the scooters while mom and dad are shopping for more clothes.

Yes....dragon..he does sell that...because he is the HARLEY dealership...custom shops are not the magnets for retail that the Harley Dealer that forgot who got him where he is today...is....every prep that picked up their bike last week is going to outfit themselves...LOL..and you know it...as far as parts...i will write directly to you about what you are doing and what you have...

Brain..you want advice from one that knows...start looking into your suppliers..your limits to buy..you need alot of capitol...and trust me..the reason women do not get great service in the front room is because we are so damn busy in the back keeping everyone on the road....you need an EXCEPTIONAL paint/airbrush man..that will bring in the business...LOl..sorry..I will take selling a 35,000.00 masrterpiece over thousands and thousands of pieces of womens apparal...it is a business..treat it like one.Let the harley dealership sell the little stuff.

Please...as a woman that runs a custom shop..the service end is what keeps you afloat..women equally enter the shop to have a bike built as men do..it is your reputation that sellds the bikes..not pretty T-shirts in the windows..they want to know who and what is behind building that bike safely...your insurance...God, everyone thinks they can build bikes nowadays..alot more to owning the shop than looking for shoppers for the front room...LOL...and get ready to nowt ever have time to ride once you are known!!!....LOL

WideOpen~ GO FOR IT! I like the others, find it hard to find a shop that unless I am a spitting hard ass biker, to give me what I am looking for. Excellent idea. Keep us posted!!
EastCoast~ I would like to hear more about your line too!!

WTG wideopen. I think it would be a great idea also. There are two bike shops here in town and I have taken my bikes to both. Both shops are dingy, cold, dark. That would be my first suggestion.
And, add some ladies apparel, leathers, wintersilks, gloves, helmets, stickers, patches... you know how ladies love to shop!
    Best of luck to you!!!!!
