Well Gruff, then I guess we will be meeting for a hamburger for sure then! Are you the same name on LSPD? And I am wondering by now if you are a little more familiar with me than everyone else here?? You going to Sparks?
(Pays to do your homework.) Evidently they work very hard to recruit and take care of the virginity problem prevalent there. BHG, don't know if what I saw qualifies as a costume...especially in the adult section. Nice view though. A guy could get used to that pretty easy.
Actually Falcon, yes I have been to the halloween party there, and if you check out their website you'll find my costume.
You need to let me know if your coming. I am a member of LSPD and we have a special campsite there for their events, a group of a little over 100 people from all over the US who get together during events.
That's even better (What? I have no rides scheduled for June? Hmmmm...). The April dates I got off the lightning customs website, they must have it wrong since the Sparks website does indeed say June. Ever been to the Halloween party there in October? And what's your favorite costume, blondeharleygirl?
This is my first full year of biker events and I am scheduled up through June for: Feb (St. Valentine's Day Massacre - Boerne, TX), March (Thunder on the Trinity - Liberty, TX), April (Thunder in the Hill Country, Bandera, TX), April (Hawgs of Texas - Lake Somervile, TX), May (Branson Motorcycle Rally - Branson, MO), June (Republic of Texas Rally (ROT) - Austin Texas.
After getting these rides behind me I may be better qualified to say which is my favorite. At least I am jumping in head first.
I think I'd have to say that the Rolling Thunder Ride to the Wall over Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorites, and one that I try to make every year. It's important to remember those who sacrificed so much for the freedoms that each of us enjoy every day.
I enjoy the memory's I have of the Black Hills rallye, went in 1988 and again in 92. The difference was night and day. In 88 there was a heat wave of 106 degrees during the day and 50's at night. This went on throughout the event, finally got enough sense to ride into the Rockys. In 92 I couln't ride a mile without seeing brothers pulled by the man for small BS. This has become a major money maker for the greedy P^Gs, just like Daytona's trailer week.
Spearfish canyon is the best!
I have been to many during my years. the years i lived in Boston Laconia was great. But the last 3 years going to Sturgis Wow the atmosphere is awesome. More space more riding. I love sturgis will be there again and again. BTW Hi Spyder, kewl to see you here. Girl he's an awesome guy. He's honest and loves working on his bikes. LOL See you around Spyder.
After 25 years I finally went to Sturgis last year and I had a wonderful time. The riding is awsome, the night life is great and I froze my butt off, it was great. I went by myself so when I was riding I did not have to worry about stay in a pack and just did what I wanted to do. I will go again this year for a week to get more riding in.
My favorite event is Sturgis.Usually take long way there, different route each time, seeing roadside sites along the way.Spend a week there enjoying the scenery. Then bust a-- riding daylight to dark/750+ miles a day to get back home in TWO days,
