But, she is a great woman, a great mother, and a great friend to this day.

My first reaction to the question is F NO!!

Truthfully though, after years of examination I sometimes do find myself missing what we shared. The first 10 years were very good and the last two were very bad.

I wouldn't go back because life has to move forward and there is too much pain under that bridge. But honestly I do miss what we had and if I really believed that we could have that again? Of course I would do it. I know that isnt true though.

My X and I are better friends now that we are divorced. We have always loved each other but we quit liking each other. We didn't divorce until our daughter graduated from high school. One day we just looked at one another and decided we didn't like who the other person had become and split up. He took me out for an early birthday dinner and we had a great time just being friends. I am very lucky to still be friends and we like each other again. As for going back I don't think that is possible on a number of levels. I am certainly not the woman he married 25 years ago, I am now a strong, fiercely independent and confident woman.

I hate playing ph-one tag.
I call 2 times a day and get 1 return call a week on average.
Would I go back to my ex? Only for the funeral.
Will I stay the present course? Until the wind blows a different direction for her.

Accept change when you have to. Change what you can to do what you have to.

Take the X back? well I almost did last week until he opened his mouth and that killed it for me. If he would only sit in the corner, not speak and look pretty everything would be peachy. LOL

I ask this only because I'm in the same boat as far as how you feel toward your ex, but I keep mine to a verrrrrry low roar...how will you handle when grandchildren come along or do you have them now? I have two and, while I'm not there in the same area with them, I'm hoping when I do go for a visit, things will go off without a hitch...words of wisdom?????
