Gentlemen...what is the most romantic.... Relationship

For an anniversary one year, my then wife presented me with 24 index cards. Each one could only be used once and only one card could be used in any 24 hour period.
From movies to footrubs to certain intimate acts to special dinners or nights out, each card had a single item on it.
I used 2 of them, I think, and that was just to let her know how much I appreciated receiving them. I still have those laminated cards somewhere in storage, and it's been over 10 years since I received them.

Once was called into the office from the oil field. Found a single red rose and a box of donuts left for me, by a lady. Made my whole week

Hey guys, how about sharing with us gals the most romantic thing a lady ever did for you. We ummm...err...ah...need to keep it printable! Personally I'm looking for some new ideas...what better way than to go straight to the source and I promise we won't tell anyone...right ladies?

Life is good. My gal cooked up a buncha King Crab last night. Do you think she knew what all that Zinc was gonna do to me a couple hours later?

    Romance,...............................
It's a two lane highway. I'm a touchy feely romantic kind of guy, my gal can not ever walk by without me reaching out and grabbing or touching her. I hold hands in public and do all that goofy stuff to let her know that I am always aware of her presence and proud of her. I realize everyone is not that way men and women both and some may feel pestered by it. Personally, I like being touched by my gal in any way she wants at any time. If a woman likes how her man touches and handles her chances are he likes the same in return, ask him?.

You know I kind of liked what you all had to say. Really makes one thing about things. So, I'll chime in.

This may sound a little stupid. But, I have a fond memory of a time when I was with someone that I really cared about. One rainy day, we spent the entire day just curled up on the couch reading together. We even had homemade chicken noodle soup that she made the day before for dinner. We didn't even talk all that much. We just sat on the couch gazing at one another and reading.

Thanks to all for sharing this stuff.

hmmmmmm.. this is a hard one.. there were so many.. I think it was about a week before she passed. We had been sleeping in the living room for about two months because she could not get upstairs. She just put her head on my chest and we looked at each other for about an hour. Eye to eye. She wanted to please me but she was in too much pain. I knew. It was a beautiful, romantic hour of just looking at each other. Not saying anything. Just looking. Her beautiful big bright green eyes said millions of romantic words.

Ride free and always tell the one you love that you love them first thing in the mornin' and last thing at night. We did and now I know she is smilin' down at all of us tryin' to help put the right hearts together.

    Thanks Sweet Pea, Dane

Went on a day long putt. Finally arrived back home tired, filthy, and just downright exhusted. To thank me for taking her for the wonderful ride she striped me down, threw me in the shower, and told me not to move a muscle! She then washed,... yeah, that was it, washed every inch of my body, my hair...and well...

...let's just say we ended up getting the whole house wet....

I never had to lift a finger.

    - Knots

p.s. I wondered where she had all the energy, but as she was on the back for the better part of 16 hours, well, I can imagine where she got all the, well, lets just say inspiration...

    IMO - THAT WAS ROMANTIC!

p.s.s. Hope that gives ya your next idea G'B'.

I had wife 20 years ago use to make nice little lunch baskets and bring them to my job with frilly decorations, flower, fruit, sandwich, chips, cold drink on ice, short skirt, no britches when she knew I was alone on the job. We were happier and had more fun than two squirrells chasin each others tails up and down the tree. God took her back, one hell of a tough act for any one to follow.

Jerry it is so nice to read what you had to say about your wife.....I think your right she will be a tough act to follow....I do hope that you find that peace and happiness once again

That makes me remember the time we had company over for Thanksgiving. The turkey was lifted carefully out of the oven ... and it was a bigun. The plate tipped a bit ... and we all stood dumbfounded as we watched it slip-slide it's way across the kitchen floor ... hitting the opposite wall ... lol.

John Tavolta couldn't have done a better slide ... lol.

Oops, got off topic for a sec.

OK gentlmen, back to you. What has yr lady done to make ya luv her more than ya did the day before & wanna just scoop her up & give her one of those great big bear hugs?

Brad Paisley's song,"I live for little moments like that" comes to mind. My last wife baked her first turkey one year, went to work, I came home and smelled something weird going on. Opened the oven and there was this big baloon growing outta poor turkey's butt. I tried not to let her see me laugh, really. She didn't know about the "Spare Parts Bag" they put in there.

    What a great idea.

Sometimes some of us get caught up in the down side of relationships that didn't work out or are in too much of a hurry with everyday "gotta get er done" lifestyles ... and forget how it's those little, fun things that made us appreciate & love someone.

My memory banks need to be rekindled for those positive, up and "feel good" moments ... for those memories that make ya stop & ponder for a moment, make ya smile, make yer eyes sparkle & before ya know it, yer heavin' one of those "feel good" sighs.

So, does anyone else have any other memorable moments that made ya love that special someone just that little bit more than ya did the day before?

    Jerry,

Such great memories! And, I can hear the love from here-all the way out in Ca!

Makes me rememeber a few things I've enjoyed doing for my guy over the years. But, mum's the word. Be great to hear the guys share romantic stuff their ladies have done for them.
