Forever is kind of like the love I have for my first wife. Even though she has been dead for 15 years I do still think about her. We had something special. And the only reason I come to these places is the hopes of finding that feeling again in my life. There is nothing like it. Although I still think of her I know I can love another the same way. Just need to find the right one.
babybaby---i was sorry to hear about your husband..i think only thoes who have been there understand that kind of "forever"....it amazing how quickley it can be taken from you....you sound like your starting to live again and that's wonderful-do hang in there and never give up no matter what-there are many kinds of "forevers", and it will be different when it comes your way again, but maybe thats a good thing, being different and all, it hard to explain it-the different forever-but i think you know what i mean-it can be just as good, you'll see-if you ever want to talk-i'm always around-i do know what your saying---best of luck to you
If forever is likened to the word eternity then I don't think the human mind can really conceive that. The mind thinks logically.. so it's the heart that believes in forever. We witness the beginning & ending to every day.. every thing.. What time does it start? What time is it over? We live by the freakin clock! The reason we question what forever is.. IS we have to deal with so many beginnings & endings... & the words "love" & "forever" have certainly been joined at the hip alot... (& shoved down our throats) but when you're in love, you dream & hope for "forever"... & forever would be nice... I believe it could exsist, but we live in this constant state of change.... hard to believe anything lasts forever! Somewhere inside I believe forever is real.. the spiritual part of me knows that... that's why we keep on keepin on.. there's got to be something more!! .. & It just may take forever to find it.. but OOOooOOOO what an adventure!

Forever is a decision you make to a relationship.A commited decision. Any relationship, weather it be lovers, friends, child, grandchildren, ect.
Your decision to be their mate(or whatever) with commitment as well honesty,integrity,compassion,ect.. And lets not forget unconditional love, ***unconditional trust*** and patience.
Throughout the days of yours/their life. And sometimes beyond that.
Hey beatitudes 5--same here, had my best friend as my lover,mate,husband---it was great. Then like a thief in the night he became sick--terminal--cancer. I thought we were soul mates. Wasn't untill a couple yrs. after his death I realized that I was his soul mate and his forever. And his forever is eternity.
Now I am hoping that I will be blessed with a (my) soul mate.
Barbiwire... people on this site have experienced "forever" in their lives. I think you have seen that by the many different answers since your last posting.
"Forever" is a word that lives only in experience. It's definition is an intangable thing, something that is strangely different in each persons ego, because it is something that can only be interpreted through your own individual and unique experiences.
Live free, live hard, live long, live "forever" in the minds of those who love you.
i don't know if forever in physical standards can last, but for me, my husband was my forever before cancer took him-we were best friends and shared the same thoughts-could even finish each others sentences-true, even though he's gone, for some strange reason, i don't feel alone-so maybe forever lives in our thoughts and mind, and if thats true then forever does really exist...and we learn to put forever there, and go on and hope to find that again...shit i don't know...lol, but to me thats what it is.
Yup, that's the holy grail. Thought I'd found it once, too. Turned out, I was blind to what fate had in store. That's ok, I have cool sunglasses to blame next time.
I have read all your comments and thanks for being honest. But I have thought about the question alot and would really like to experience forever for myself the kind that lasts beyond death like CrazyDane explains about.
Forever is that time between waiting for someone calls you back, and the time that you realize that they arent going to. I get to experience forever every few weeks ;-)
Forever mean a lifetime, I have had a few lifetimes of forever, each one hard to pass through, but that Mountain still exsists and needs to be climbed. Its never over... Only how you pass through it and leave your mark. I always lookforward to forevers.
Peace Out !
