OK, I need a windshield. All done with the denial thing. Anybody got any opinions on a good detachable windshield? National? Memphis? Rifle? Harley? Price seems pretty close on all of em. I'm leaning toward the Rifle Soloshield, but not locked in by any means.
Hey scub I here ya on this one. I ride a 1450 Fatboy custom and no windscreen. Bugs and Bee's do a number on the face for sure. Thus a face mask on the open highway. Coing back from Dover I hit rain , hail, and some light snow.I opted to buy a detachable Mephis shade. 16". Thats my suggestion. good luck and ride safe.....
I don't have much trouble with gravel trucks most of the time, but I ride past a lot of alfalfa fields, and they stock 'em all full of beehives, so there's always a lot of bees crossing the road. Riding in the mid thirties gets a mite chilly, too.
Just road a Road King today with a windshield...
didn't care for it..
I am tall and my line of site was on the rim making vision difficult. I am not ready to end my denial.
Although after being pelted by a gravel truck once with 1/4" stones that chipped the tank and gave me some sore memories getting away from the truck; I can see your reason to pursue.

I had a Memphis on my LowRider...detachable too..and off different colors if that suits.
Try your local cycle grave yard. Some of the best windshields can be found there. Sometimes you have to glue them back together and the glue seams are hard to see through but at least you will have one of the best windshields ever made. :-)
