this string went so many ways im not sure what the actual idea was anymore, except a harley person got a wing riders case, the rest is lost.
humm i like th direction and go not destination to get to.seems to defeat the purpose doesnt it.
even in another country i cant escape the biker thing, everyone says i look biker talk biker and act biker, b ut i thought i just rode alot.
oh well.
but could use some new insights on the new hog though. i want it tweaked a little without messing with warranty, louder pipes, i gave up the deal less loud gets you stopped less, i get stopped anyway at 3 or 4 am,for everything so why abuse my bike by sounding so putty and quite.but then i know what to do, i just want some other ideas on how?????????????????

SLB, What a ride you had!

As for the rest: If someone loves to ride; it doesn't matter to me what they ride or how often. Just that they are out there, feeling the wind. All the rest is twisting the throttle (or your brain) with your ego.

Dayum, tonight I was riding in Sarasota when I broke the clutch cable, some fifty miles from home.
Here I am with a dilema, saturday night, no shops open till tuesday so I continued riding. At the aproach to each traffic light I would slow till the light changed, then shift up to higher gears, till I could see the next light then down shift into first and ride at idle at light change back to green.
One light was a long one so I had to make a u-turn and ride away from it till it changed and turn around and continue.
Another I rode into a parking lot and rode around till it changed.
Finally after encountering dozens of lights I made it out of town, good thing I know all the back roads as I was running a lot of stop signs.
Anyhow I managed to ride the bike all the way home with no clutch.
Has this ever happened to you?
The last time this happened to me I was riding a neaked bike from St. Petersburg, and had to push start the bike at some lights.
This time I'm ridind a dresser with bags and trunk full of tools and other heavy objects.
It isn't easy to push a dresser with the saddle bags sticking out the side of the bike, so I couldn't stop.

SLB

It's to bad Mtnman didn't understand what you were trying to say but then most Weekend Warriors wouldn't. He understands the code of honour but not the aspect of respect. Sorry he had to do that to you. Let me give you my interpretation of the Weekend Warrior, the Wannabe, the so called Clone. That's society's sheep that comes home from a hard day at the office, parks his Benz beside his pick, opens his garage and looks at his new shiny bike,( man I'm killing myself here...lol) proceeds to take off his pocket protecter and dawn his full leathers in 90 degree sunny weather ( chaps are a must here...lol), hides his Rolex under his jacket and fires up that big load machine. As he feels the heavy vibes he dreams of the open raod and the wind in his hair, a rush tingles through his body as he puts ear plugs in (don't stop me now). As he painfully backs his monster out of the garage he looks at his odometer and wishes it read 12,000 miles instead of 2,000 (I hope I can finish this without cracking up...lol). He puts it in gear...clunk (another rush...wow!). Just as he's about to engage the clutch the misses yells out the front door "pick up milk and bread my big hunk of a man"( lol...god help me here...lmfao). He can't hear her because of the straight pipes and ear plugs but he's the man for now (till he gets home). As he heads to the corner store he encounters an old lady driving the speed limit. As he zooms by her he slips her the finger (he's a bad a$$ now, a real rebel), pulls into the parking lot and treats himself to a chocolate icecream clone. Man I can't do this anymore...this is killing me...lmfao...to be con't I hope....lol

too funny...

I don't believe "we all" posted mean things about HD. I believe the majority of us voiced our disdain over what one spineless person decided needed to be made public. Therefore,I,for one, will continue to post. One person's very bad lack of character won't prevent me from sharing with my friends.
