Dakota,

When I read this topic it reminded me of a video I saw where a guy rides out on his bike and everything goes perfect. Signs say things like "beware of tractor about to pull into road etc.".
Then I read what you wrote and it put everything into true perspective. One more of the many perfect days I'd had with my dad and best friend for me.

Blu, your perfect day was not a sad day at all...for any of us looking for the right one to love to have experienced a love like yours...you found love and heaven like some of us have never experienced..and the way you express, I really appreciate you sharing, even though it is a painful loss for you, it really puts into perspective for us, those of us looking for loves like that never found, what the meaning of love is..So thank you Blu, for sharing a perfect day, sad for you, but perspective for us..

My perfect day would have to be just like Blu's. One last day spent riding, hearing her lean in and happly tell me what she sees. Then the Last I Love You as the day sends.

Riding beside someone who makes me smile and I can't take my eyes off of, feeling the warm sun beat down on me,knowing that I have finally found the one who makes me complete, smiling like I have not a care in the world,,,,,,stopping to get a bite to eat and then spending the rest of the day with the person who rode beside me!!!!
Falling asleep with a smile on my face. day complete....

The perfect day would be any day I'd spend riding and talking with any of you ladies.....which is of course, as it should be.

Smiles,

DB...no need for sorry. You reminded us to appreciate all that we love, from day to day, because the future is not promised to us.
Your in my prayers!

yes some don't appreciate or acknowledge the "i'm sorry's" or "i love you's"
butttttttt i know for me--i have to maintain living the way i live--i will not let someone, who to me that lives their lives that way, ignorant--bring me to their level

being able to admit wrong and caring is important to all--if not we wind up with a heart of stone

The sun is just breaking over the hills and the kookaburra's are laughing, the chill of the night air starts to thaw the air as you crawl out of your swag. You walk down to the waterhole and take a brisk (and I mean very brisk lol) dip. Breakfast over the fire listening to the wildlife wake around you. Mid morning pack up kick up the stand and roll out. Highway's full of switchbacks and turns, hills drop away on all side, scenery spreads for miles, few cars and almost no people. Pull into a small town, nothing spectacular, smiling people, chat, lunch, move on.
Hills give way to open plains, trees retreat scrub stretches as far as the eye can see. No white lines just a continuous back road to nowhere special, you, the bike and the sky.
Evening creeps in, red sky blooms across the horison, trees return, grass, houses, civilization.....the last turn you see the gate, up the drive, light comes on........Home (a special day)

Unfortunately some don't appreciate apologies or I love you's.

But I refuse to quit saying them when I feel the need to say them. If anything,it makes me feel better!

blu
you didn't bring me down---i think it is great that you had a relationship that we all might envy had we been able to see the 2 of you together

it also helps me re-realize that there are more important things in life--and making sure that when we argue with the ones we love to make sure we do say--sorry if i'm at fault and not to hold onto a grudge because i feel i DESERVE and apology for whatever--and to say I LOVE YOU--or I CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU--life can end at any second--if we are the surviors we and then live with regret if not handled in a timely fashion

we don't need to live in regret---we need to continue to bud and flower to reach our full potential with sweet not sour memories of what we once had

so thank you--you are special
