SLB, glad I could help you with that fond memory..sounds like a good one..and a horse named "Chula" in Mexico?? Go figure?
When you bringing your hiney to OK?? Been waiting on someone?? Gruff supposed to be her in a couple of weeks..if he doesn't stand me up..but not for a ride..I gotta buy HIM a burger and beer..but not a problem..I welcome the visit..since he is passing thru my 3rd world country..
Oklahoman's are known for their hospitality and friendliness.
Yeah Chromelover..actually was how they break their horses there..good exercise for them when they buck..really hard for them to buck when they're shoulder deep..the guys stand on their backs..if they get bucked off, doesn't hurt anyone..have pictures.

I too have riden a horse on the beach.
Walked him into the surf, "Chula" wanted to swim to Mexico. Ha!
Hardest thing was walking him across the bridge back and forth to the beach and back.
Chula had never stood over a body of water, so had to wrap the flannel over his eyes and lead him.
Thanks for bringing that up, its good to relive old memories.
When are we going for a ride?

Wow, Blondie! Now you have put something new and exciting on my list of things to try. Thanks! That sounds so cool...and I've been wanting a beach vacation soon. :)
I so work in the great city of Chicago, but for a construction association (read: surrounded by a bunch of good ol' boys haha)
Chromelover..I have ridden horses in the past..always been landlocled (Oklahoma), but ocean riding was the most incredible experience ever.. Was not just beach riding...took them beyond shoulder depth..worked them out for about 2 hrs back and forth..the most incredible experience I have had on horseback..then up and down the beach.. add to that the coastal scenery of St. Lucia..fantastic..so when I saw you were from Chicago..you look similar to her..she works for a pharmaceutical co there.
Sheesh, out of the gutter Brock!
Blondie, I've had the fun of riding on a few beaches thru the years, and yes, that is so much fun. Horses are wonderful animals aren't they? I've ridden since my early 20s, and hope to do so till the day I die. :)
Hey ChromeLover...had to check out your profile..you looked familiar for a minute..met this chick on a cruise who liked horseback riding too..She and I went horseback riding (bareback) in St. Lucia, rode the horses in the Ocean..she was from Chicago too. The most fun I had riding horses, ever.
I have never seen any one place with such a fascination for vaseline as bk, very interesting, I don't know what it means, I don't know if I want to know what it means...
