Breakfast: Chef's, Dairyman's Diner, and some little place I can't remember the name of right down the road a piece from Ithaca Harley.
Outside of Breakfast... I don't eat much else, but prefer to slowly graze through out the day.
The Savoy is a decent little bar in Watkin's, and there are several decent one's on MArket Street in Corning.
Some killer rides though in the whole damn area... and that is what any road trip is about!!!

Hey I don't remember if I did any room plans. I know Bill is holding one for me for Cut's but I do not remember about for this trip? Dave or Bill can you help me since I am suffering from CRS here? lol
Dave, Mike, and I have been looking into lodging and it turns out that there's a wine festival the weekend that we've planned our trip so finding a hotel with enough rooms for all of us has been tough.
Today we found the Villager Motel with a block of 11 rooms, but they won't let us hold them so we all have to call and reserve our rooms.
For reservations call 607-535-7159 and ask for one of the rooms in the motel section near the indoor pool. Rooms are $145 per night.
If we get enough people to reserve quickly, I'll try to negotiate a lower rate.
Count me in... I just booked that Villager motel at 95 per nite.... they also have $85 rooms left.. the lady told me that the 145 are on the HOTEL side... I grabbed the MOTEL side.... cee-ya's in July
Villager is like right outside Watkins on 414/14 as I recall. But folks, summer... lakes... highway and country roads... not gunna be alot of room time.
Also check the GlLen Motor Lodge, and a couple others. Also, some nice B&B's up there.
I will prolly be sleeping up above a barn 3 miles north of watkins. Works for me...

Want a long ride? Start early, ride around Seneca lake from watkins up the west side to Geneva... then down the East side to Watkins. Take a few good hours with some stops and such... then hit Ithaca... corning... etc.

dekkerdave write: I am proposing a get-together in July 14-16 in the Finger Lakes of New York . I have a few places in mind to hold the event . After I receive more information and rates I will post them . The places in am looking at have on site bars with motel rooms and cabins .Watkins Glen NY looks like the best site for the location . Some of the attractions in Watkins Glen are NASCAR track , State Park , Winery Tours , Boat Cruises , Cornell University , Warplane Museum , Norman Rockwell Art Museum , Corning Glass Museum and many waterfalls .
Let me know who is interested in attending so I can get an idea of numbers .
