KinMonmouth write:
Not a quote..a little thought...
In this life I find myself living the road twists and turns before my very eyes,,,
though I am not always able to see the bend which approaches ahead before me
I can be sure it's paths are ever changing
smooth and paved an easy light walk
followed by rough and jagged gravel poking at the soles of my feet
as I walk toward the next bend in the road I know
it's coming as sure as the air I breathe
the road is always there waiting for me to take it?
opportunities laid before me are missed or flow quietly past my eyes unseen
others are taken by myself.
Life is strange?sometimes that which we see as a gift or a blessing..isn't what it seems at all?only in time do we realize this to be true..and only then if we are willing to admit we are wrong
Our choices mold the path , the bends we take?.
In turn we form the memories that will play in our minds in days to come,
like old excerpts of a movie or a book,,,or a dream?
over and over again,,,
We are so quick to walk by what seems to be nothing,,,
unaware we may have passed our greatest gifts of all?
Peace?Solitude?Truth?Love?Laughter
Taking for granted the turquoise and sienna colors that stretch across the horizon with the sunsets we so rarely take the time to watch..
Assuming there is always another tomorrow...
Rushing our loved ones off before taking the time to really embrace them in our arms and let them know how much we truly love them
because we assume they know..how we feel
Running from love,,, because the thought of losing it is too painful....
Quieting our children as they roar in laughter
forgetting we should be so grateful to hear the sounds of laughter
flow from their little bodies
So many things we take for granted until we lose them...
Yes..life is funny..and the road has many twists and turns,,
if we listen and watch very carefully maybe?just maybe
we will never grow tired of the memories we make that will play on in our minds for Eternity....

Me...

Oh my gosh, Kin...this was beautiful....thank you for sharing...

"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves."

"Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people."

"There is no coming to consciousness without pain."

"Only what is really oneself has the power to heal."

"My own understanding is the sole treasure I possess, and the greatest. Though infinitely small and fragile in comparison with the powers of darkness, it is still a light, my only light."

"We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses."

"Where love rules, there is no will to power; and where power predominates, there love is lacking. The one is the shadow of the other."

Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens."

"Follow that will and that way which experience confirms to be your own."

All Carl Jung, in my opinion the greatest explorer of the human psyche in the 20th century.

It takes my post 24 hours so I figured I would fill one column.

thanks Carla for a great forum

OK MO howz this??
I can't take credit for these words of wisdom, they're my roommate's Harleyrose She get's really deep sometimes and really blonde other times, but ya gotta love her either way!!

The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn. the bird waits in the egg and in the highest vision of the soul a waking Angel stirs dreams are the seedings of realities.

The path of love and the path of insight lead into the same garden.

One must first discipline and control his own mind and he will find the way to enlightenment and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him.
