Lady, You
re right, its hard to believe that wild critters would bond with a bone head like me but i
ve been shown otherwise on a few occasions. I was saying good luck to Hootie just before I tossed him to the sky after he healed up--this is freaky---. He put his wing aroud my shoulder just like you would to an old friend when parting ways.. You might say coincidence-??. I don
t think so, The friend taking the pics and I could see it was genuine. The fact he still comes to visit for more than a year now tells the tale!!

Definately not coincidence--birds are very affectionate and extremely intelligent.

This is my buddy Hootie (Barred Owl), I nursed him back to health after being hit by a truck.
Now he flys to a tree beside my driveway to greet me when I come home 3 or 4 times a week so we can talk. Also follows me tree to tree when i
m piddling in the yard. Been doing this since Sept-04, strange but true !! Who said birds were dumb?

I lost 4 of my pets in hurricane Katrina. I'm going to lose the rest of them, my daughter and possibly my life if someone doesn't help me. We need a place to live immediately, preferably close to my area, since I currently have no transportation, my daughter is in school here, and I have the pets and what belonings we salvaged. I have a dog, he's half border collie, half catahoula. His name is Phantom. I have 4 cats, Smokey a grey Persian, he is neutered, and he has asthma. Magick, a black female, she has epilepsy so I can't have her spayed, therefore she has to be inside kitty. Mr. Purrfect, a black neutered male, the most gorgeous cat around and Katrina, Magick's daughter who was born right before the storm.
I didn't want to tell this, because my initial purpose of getting on Biker Kiss was to find a husband. At this point I need help, so I don't care who knows what. The real reason I don't have a man is because I have several serious life-threatening health issues. Nothing contagious or anything, but I could die and that scares most men off. I need a doctor's care, and I had a surgery scheduled before the storm. I really could die if I don't find a place.
Not only will the shelters not take pets, but a pervert there tried to force himself on my daughter. All the so-called helpful organizations are full of it. 2 months later we're still homeless, and I am disabled. I get a check from the government.
There is nothing to rent in my price range. I get $601 a month. I am able to spend most of that on rent. I am a good cook, vegetarian of course. I am able to do light housework. Children get on my nerves, but I am good with elderly and animals.
I do not drink, smoke, take drugs, I am not dating, and not the type of woman to bring a man home even if I was dating him. My daughter, pets and myself are used to peace and quiet, and will bring no negativity to your home.
I don't care if it's an attic, garage, car or land to pitch a tent. We need a place. If I had a car, we'd sleep in it.
My chance to use a computer is slim to none. I'm going to try to post my cell number. Thanks.
