    just wanna share this with you folks.

    Dont go for looks;they can deceive.
    Dont go for wealth;even that fades away.
    Go for someone who makes you smile,
    because it only takes a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
    Find the one that makes your heart smile.
    Dream what you want to dream;
    Go where you want to go;
    Be what you want to be
    Because you only have one life
    And one chance to do all the things you want to do.
    May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
    Enough trials to make you strong,
    Enough sorrows to make you human
    And enough hope to make you happy.
    The happiest of people dont necessarily
    Have the best of everything,
    They just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
    The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past;
    You cant go forward in life until
    you let go off your past failures and heartaches.
    When you were born,you were crying
    and everyone around you was smiling.
    Live your life so at the end,
    you're the one whos smiling and everyone around you is crying.

    Seeme, no, Ma'am, though SJs' comment is relevent. I did a round the edges tour, MT to Victoria,BC, to San Diego, to Disneyworld to Maine and back in June/July 89 on my 1000S, wouldn't say it was uncomfortable at all. 14k miles in 43 days, no passengers or full time riding buds. I did pick up a few short term comrades, all kinds of bikes. I think the comfort thing, besides being a matter of personal preference, is more a factor of the passengers' comfort, since they don't have as much going on to distract them from the status of their posterior. SJ, does Mustang make a big cushy saddle like mine for your BlackBird? hehehehe

    Sounds like a good ride bro...did Cape Cod to Sturgis in 3 days..1942 miles..can't see myself doin' it on a sport bike no matter what shape my azz is in... and that dyna of mine will cruz the highway all day long and still let me walk to dinner afta...

    Hey Doc, add another 100 lbs cause it's a Heritage Softail Springer. Though I still surprise a few squids when I show 'em my tailight through the twisties, they don't expect it from a bagger, but that's why my floorboards are now knife edge. I been thinkin' of going with the lowrider trick of magnesium and stuff for sparks at night. And SJ, it WILL get 115 when the air gets dense down around 40 F. lol

    yes they will--been on a classic at those speeds (on the back)
    so they will get out of the way when need be--the cruiser style bike is soooooo much more comfortable than the sport bikes

    I reckon that depends on how big, I mean what shape your hiney is.

    speedy--my butttttt was fine--it was uncomfortable for my knees

    i rode all day a good 12 hrs on a cruiser without the same issues

    Yes Dear, generally speaking most Sportbikes aren't passenger friendly, there's a few models like mine that are bigger and have a real rear seat on them.

    unfortuanately--it wasn't the seat--i waitressed alot of years and my knees were the problem--the postion on most sportbikes is bent more--and this bod isn't 20 anymore--my right knee is the worst and had surgery on it about 6 weeks before--the brand doesn't matter to me--although my 1st bike is a harley--for me being in the wind is and always had been the important factor

    P,

    Sorry to hear about the knees and you are right. Most sport bikes are ridden with a more "English Saddle" position than "Western Saddle". A nice trade off is that there is far more intimate body contact riding that way in general. My Harley even has a rider's backrest that further seperates the rider from the passenger.

    yes the western saddle--that is the way i correlate it also--i never rode english always western
    and the closeness depends i think---being i've riden horses with or without a backrest i hold on with my thighs--accelerate/brake--squeeze

    I'm having dense day too...
    Jerry (Speedy) are you talking about when you brake hard and they slide forward?
