You don't really adore her...
Too late to take it back now!
I'm sure he'll figure out what to do eventually.
Was that BS repellant for you SpeedyJ?

Naw, not for me, never too late to take it back. It's better to recognize and attempt to work out minor problems before they become major ones after it's too late!. Like I said, we had differences the Ring was supposed to fix but, oh well, history now!.

I noticed something: Jerry said:'Sobriety test.'
And, good to work out minor differences.
Unless I am being Stoopid (wouldn't be the first frikin' time. hahahaa)
Jerry said sobriety.
hmmm... If someone is in denial, you can't frickin' ask 'em! They HAVE to lie. That's where a 'test' comes in.
Working out minor (and major) differences is paramount.

Will be a real treat.

Thank you DD, women smart enough to read between my lines are VERY VERY rare here. I can't imagine a "Perfect Relationship" without some differences to weigh and determine if it's worthwhile to pursue. Takes time to learn about each other, she's been single, successful, and quite independant for some time and I can understand the part of her being unsure of giving that up, same with me. This lady is not some homeless drifter looking for attention going from one man to another to see what HE can do for HER. She's REAL, I can feel it or I'd be gone!.

i understand the being alcohol aware--i am very much aware of that being an ACOA and an ex to a man who drank not to feel--was he always drinking not--but if things got heavy yes then alot

the thing is i watch--talk and discuss the differences--compromise and commuication is a part of a relationship--i don't test--because if i have to jump thru someone else's hoops i'm outa there

yes there are close to perfect relationships--those that have trust, communication and compromise

i have found when i look for someone to fail i will always find it
when i look for someone to succeed they do

Unfortunately, Comfy, some folks aren't happy unless they either have drama or they're creating drama! If a person does not enhance my life, I rid my life of that person..simple concept...no drama! Peace all!

Speedy

differences are what makes us unique--and her uniqueness is what drew you to her---now you want her to change that uniqueness then what???????????

WHY DON'T YOU CHANGE--BECAUSE YOU ARE THE ONLY THING YOU CAN CHANGE!!!!!

change your responses and maybe she will change hers

trust and communication are the 2 most important things in a relationship--if you started testing me--i would believe we have neither of those and would put on my running shoes ASAP and be out of there

good luck you need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A 'RING' can not fix any differences...And seems to me that you are asking her to change something about herself..and now you are 'testing' her...NAHHHH Jerry, this is not good.

I don't know about her but the first time a man 'tests' me he will be told to f'off.....Take me or leave me but don't test me. Love is not a pass/fail situation.

Yes differences can be worked out..but to ask someone to 'change' theirself and then 'test' them on that change is just wrong.

Good luck Jerry...you may lose this one if you put her through too many 'tests'.

just wanna share this with you folks.

Dont go for looks;they can deceive.
Dont go for wealth;even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you smile,
because it only takes a smile to make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes your heart smile.
Dream what you want to dream;
Go where you want to go;
Be what you want to be
Because you only have one life
And one chance to do all the things you want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
Enough trials to make you strong,
Enough sorrows to make you human
And enough hope to make you happy.
The happiest of people dont necessarily
Have the best of everything,
They just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past;
You cant go forward in life until
you let go off your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born,you were crying
and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end,
you're the one whos smiling and everyone around you is crying.
