Another good leave in product: I think it's Abba. A leave in called Nourishing. It's loaded with moisturizers.

The cowboy stuff sounds promising also. I do a head sock, and stuff my hair up a little into a loose bun, throw the head sock over it. The one I have is from skiing, so it's a nice thin warm one. I want to get a silk one also, for summer.
I blow my bangs out,throw a little spray on them, leave my hair damp in the summer; up under the head sock, and when I stop to hang at a good biker spot, I shake it out and finger comb it. Seems to work pretty well.

And yeah, I have naturlly curly LONG hair........Still sux, but hey...I'm not b!tchin' no more........At least we don't have to wear a lid...Nudge Nudge, to all YOU ABATE riders out there..........

YEAH!! Naturally curly hair flattened by a helmet STAYS that way until you wash it out! Try dealing with that. LOL

Just move down to South Carolina where there is no helmet law. Besides, we NEED more good bikers here!

Hey! I wear a Do rag but that doesn't hold all my hair in, so I also wear a folded scarf atop that and it protects my ears from the wind. I learned along time ago when the do rag goes on ...I don't look in mirrors! I look sooooooo funny in a Do rag!

awww helmut head. you mean i'm supposed to look good? naw really i just keep it back either tail,rag or until i cross border helmut. just hate when it blows up my nose. thanks points for the word of cowboy magic will give it a try. hate when i get bald spots because of pulling tangles. always has grown back but scares me every time

I use, believe this, J&J no more tears.
Bought some junk trial size hair spray, dumped it, cleaned the bottle and fill it with the J&J, carry it with me. No residue, and no pulling and no chit that hurts hair tangles.
Lot less damage.

I found a product called Cowboy Magic that is wonderful for the dreaded after-ride comb out / detangling. They've got a website (same name dot com) or try a local feed store. I use it daily - awesome stuff!

I have what a friend calls "porn star" hair, or "fresh f*****" hair!! Long and wild, so when I get off the bike and take the lid off, it doesn't look much different after I bend over,shake my head and go!!!

And if you can't wear a hat...Use a hair-glove...They really work great with long hair just make a pony tail and clip n snap the glove on they also come in different sizes for long or short hair...And here in Rhode Island, we have the helmut law for passengers only...NEVER EVER USE HAIRSPRAY LOL

helmet hair is how people identify that I am a biker

once I take my helmet off, I take the tangles out best i can and put a rubber band on if the one that was on there fell off
