Yep, Lady, pretty much the same scenario with me. It was 11 years for me though. Now looking back at the marriage, I'm not sure he didn't have affairs waiting for him in each city he had to "do business" in.

I was an idiot though. Because he always had his cell p*hone, I never knew what hotel he was in. Looking back, for all I know, he was down the street shacked up for the week. The month of our 11 year anniversary, he tells me "he loves me, just not in love". Well, I guess not. He has been in Venezuela and, as he put it, "she looked at me a certain way, and gave me her card." Now I think what a freakin IDIOT I was to even TRY to make it work.

If after 11 years of total devotion and loyalty on my part, all it takes is "a certain look" and a business card, to turn his head, then take off.

It is so true though, that success is the best revenge. I don't keep up with him, but the last time I spoke with him, he did tell me, he was miserable and never thought he'd ever be so unhappy. And he is telling me this while he is seeing some other woman. It feels good to know I have provided myself with a first class lifestyle, bought my own bike, and am happy. Even single!

That part really killed him, my buying a bike. That was something he said he always wanted US to do together. Well, sorry, but s*ex was something "I" always wanted us to do together. Bless his little heart, I just hate that it bothers him that I ride without him. Gosh, I just HATE it!

Success is such a sweet revenge!

I was in a 13 marriage and my husband also worked out of town during most of the time. He was gone during the week. He came home late Friday night or early Saturday morning, dumped out his dirty clothes so I could do his laundry for the next week. He turned on his ball games and barked if anyone would touch the dial even though he slept in his recliner in front of it. Sunday was his golf day with his Brother. He left to head back to the job right after golf. One day it hit me, if I have to live alone I want it to be my choice. I was tired of spending holidays, Birthdays, special days alone. I also found out he was cheating so there was really no reason for me to stay. Roxie asked in another forum, would I go back? H*E*L*L*O no! I believe relationships are for sharing, and that means doing things together and being a part of each others life. I won't tolerate less. I also will not tolerate lying and cheating. Ok, there's my two cents.

Lady....Yes Relationships are for two people! not more not less....How are you ?.....Long time....Mo

I was married for 15 years and was in an abusive relationship. I WILL NEVER TOLERATE ANYTHING OF THAT SORT AGAIN!
My tolerance for that is ZERO. If i see someone being mistreated, I speak up. I should be a prosecutor by now!! I have taught my daughters that no matter how much they say they love you or that they're sorry...to just leave and dont look back..it only gets worse.
Calling the police and filing for divorce was the hardest decision I had to make, it took alot of guts. It's been hard these past few years, but I would NEVER go back!

Ok Tink, here goes: Bad manners, table and otherwise. Personally it melts me when a man shows respect in old-fashioned ways. It melts me to have my door opened, to see him stand up when I come back to the table, thoughtful, creative acts. No more mute, selfish, low-libido, cold-hearted, unaffectionate-user types for this girl.
A strong man, secure in his masculinity, knows how to be loving, warm, sensuous and protective in a non-AZZholy way.
Oh-and BORING! Boredom is death...
Fun, funny, passionate and a ZEST for life is the one for me. I'm almost 49- next week!- and been through it, the good and the bad. It's all a learning experience. Wiser now, hoping for good choices from here on out, with my eyes and heart open!

what i won't tolerate....someone that would give up the fight of life...i know we all have down times, and your partner should be by your side-holding your hand-supporting you, not ignoring you.... someone who can look you in the eye and lie, it is so much eaiser to forgive a truth then a lie..oh yea also i can't stand it when your out with a guy and he is checking everything out in front of you (don't want any chit here, i know it is only human to check the others out), but doing it so blantely make them look like as azz, and the women look like an azz for being with them, so just hand over the keys-i'll take myself home- go and enjoy-i think that is so disrespectful....
