Silver I have several male "friends" that are riding buddies. Like Seeme said, since we all enjoy riding we have a common interest which is the reason most people join this site in the first place. We want to meet others who enjoy riding too. Getting together and riding with friends to rallies, bike weeks or just weekend rides is what it is all about. I love my friends and would be lost without them. Friends make the world go around. :) Enjoy your friendship for what it is. If it turns into more than that then you know it was meant to be. Good relationships start out with great friendship. I wish you luck and in the meantime, keep it in the wind and enjoy the adventure.

Must not have been much of a ride then.

I sure hope so!

I tend to get along better with women than men (perhaps its growing up with two older sisters) and have many platonic friendships with my "chick-friends". Some of them love jumpin' on the back to go for a putt...

It's all good, if you have no expectations, you'll have no dissappointments. Just a thought.

Men and women can be the best of friends. No doubt about it. Well, at least until they they decide to take up couch sports.

Then, it gets wierd or very very nice. Not much in between, but the riding buddy thing is pretty much out the window then.

I guess I'm a little "challenged" in this area, but I'm a quick learner. You know he did mention that he liked my cleavage and he hoped that I didn't notice him staring the first time we talked. I thought hmmm, I got his attention. Now I think, after a month, that he likes my peaches but doesn't want to shake my tree. But we'll see. If all we do is ride, I'm happy, and will enjoy everyday we spend on the road because actually, that is what I love, plus I like being seen with a cool looking guy. LOL

being *HINT* impaired myself, maybe the guy just hasn't picked up on your vibe. i can't tell you how many times i found out someone was interested after the fact. so speak up and don't rely on hints.

I have platonic/friendships with several females. Just no one within riding distance. Personally, I find the ladies more interesting friends than most men, with their different ideas and ways of viewing things.
So, I'd say just kick back, expect nothing more than what you already have with him and enjoy. : )

Hi.
I think it's awesome you are able to ride as friends. I would love to find more men in my area who would love to hang out, ride, just have a FUN time together. If the chemistry happens, fantastic, if not.... Good True Friends are forever. I am happy for you that you have a great guy to ride with.
I think the age thing is all in the eye of the beholder. For me, Clicking can happen with any age difference. I have dated several people in the past either much older or younger than myself.

I have to say yes.......Men and women can be friends. But it takes two mature people that know from the start why it is you enjoy the others company. Why mature people? Because you both have to be able to sit down and reavaluate the relationship from time to time. There is always the chance one could fall in love more than friends with the other. Friendships are damm hard work, but if kept honest it can be the most rewarding and satisfying relationship one could ever have.

you are right---i have a few guys i've dated and we have remained great friends--and i think a large reason for that is that we always were totally honest with each other--the basis for any relationship

Some of the best relationships I have ever had are with my men friends. There are no strings, no jealousy and tons of accepting the other for who they are without the expectations and weirdness that intimate relationships cause.

Enjoy this fellow and his company. Sounds like a great amount of fun will be had by both of you.

I don't have a problem being friends with men! I've found it's the men that have a problem being friends with me! I mean, c'mon, really! I'm not anyone's "play pretty"! I may be FROM the South, but that does not mean you can GO South!

If a man was to wander a little too far for your personal preferences I hope you would certainly tell him to stop.
Being the "Ole Professional Husband" I am, old habits are hard to break. Some men give all when they make love to make it as enjoyable as possible for both. Personally I like to see and feel a womans body respond to my touch, look into her eye's for sensual approval of what I'm doing and where I'm going. When her body follows my every move and anticipates what I'm gonna do next that's a pretty good indication she's liking it @ that moment. When she grabs me by the ears and puts a head lock on me I know she's loving it. If a woman was to ever tell me "STOP! Dont Do That" I reckon I'd stop and wouldn't do it, that ain't never happened though. lol

Thanks for sharing, there Jerry..but that really is more information than I personally want to read....

Well, you know on occasion I have been known to get carried away @ times. I get all these words in me and I got to let them out to make room for the next ones.

Im 31 and I was dateing a 44 year young woman , We knew each other for about 5 years and were freinds before we dated.
I truely wanted to be with her , and she said things whent to quick to soon , Now were not together now and we agreed to be just friends but it just doesnt seems that she wants to talk with me or ride ,,She has the idea that I cant handle here seeing another person so she doesnt talk to me anymore,,I have told here that I want to stay in touch with her but she hasnt ben holding up here side of the friendship and that hurts more than anything!! I think you can be friends with someone your interested in,if you cross the line and things dont work out the way you thought, now you could lose the friendship to, Sometimes its better to charish the bond of a good friend and leave well enough alone!!! I think ex lovers can be fiends if you realy try for just that.... My 2 cnts!!!
