I am now clean and sober for 7 beautiful years.
Trees are good for many things although kissing isn't one of them.

revolutionarypassion write: On the BADD (Bikers Against Drunk Drivers) website, Harley Davidson has given them bikes in the past to support their cause and the bikes were up for raffle. They gave away 5 bikes at Daytona in March.
Well, they're doing it again.
The number of tickets per total cost is really good! 40 tickets for only $32.
Not only are you supporting BADD, but you have a chance to win a brand new Harley! Can't beat that with a wet noodle!
If you visit the site, there is a lot of great info. There is even a place where you can get victim assistance.
Thanks for the heads-up, Rev.
I know of some sober mc/rc's but I had no idea an organization like BADD exsisted.
I'm clean and sober since the fall of 1986 and am thankful for everyday that I am able to have a clear thought. May those who have the courage to change find some peace while they are still here, some laughter, warmth and love to share along the way.
There was and never will be anything cool about riding down a two lane Idaho country rode on a Harley at 120 miles a hour, no helmet, no leathers and NO Fu**ing common sense! And drunk on your ass time and time again.....

i'm an acoa--grew up in jersey city--and can remember being in the car form deremus ave(sp) over the 2 bridges to the heights with dad---i know that my higher power had us all in surrounded by his hands to make home
the thing is at that time we weren't taught about the dangers of drinking and driving--and yes i did my fair share in my late teens early 20's
the thing i'm most proud of was at 15 my daughter called me to pick her up from a party because the person who was supposed to drive her home was drunk and she refused to get into her car--we did get the keys away from her also!!!!!
you need to be proud of yourself for the accomplishment of living one day at a time--cyber hugs and thanks for that
NORTY write: The lobby responsible for getting the BAC down to .08 is MADD. Don't kid yourself, they are a STRONG lobby. They are now proposing a new level of .05 BAC. This measure has been on the table before ,but it's been watered down and defeated. It will be back, and someday it'll pass. I don't even bother drinking as I haul haz-mat commercially. One thing drunk driving isn't-is funny. The days of OTIS falling into Sheriff Taylors' cell are over!
in some places they will get you for a DUI even if you aren't the driver (but both are drunk)--and he is--also if you realize you've had too much and pull over in a rest area to sleep it off--keys in car--you are now DUI

You should read the post between me and Navigator about the Oklahoma rally..guy lost his bike..he thought..except he didn't loose his bike..he just woke up in the wrong camp, his bike was back in his camp safe and sound right where he left it....roflmfao
I did that with a Ford Pinto once. I should have left it where it was.
