Why don't ya give the wannabees a chance - it't how all bikers started out for lord sake - we all have to start somewhere. Maybe if there weren't so many prejudice wannabees wouldn't try to do and say *hit to try to fit in with you guys

I never pass a broke down bike, I wave at anything on 2 wheels, I spend way too much time givin my scoot TLC, I ride in any weather but snow and ice, I like ink, and I don't take chit if it's not deserved. Tink, being you is just exactly how we like you, man!

I agree with you g/f. Tinker.. you are 100% real and that is what really counts. Keep it in the wind and stay safe!

Dont know about most, But to me there NOTHING lower then a " Biker" that would steal another mans Bike. All you hear from " Bikers" ( useing the term loosely) is RESPECT sorry people but thats just bullshit to me. Someone wants Respect EARN it dont put it out as I Ride I'm a Biker I demand respect. These types are what still give bikers , riders , or enthusiests a bad name. So if you are ever in the area be forewarned The Thieves are still working there. Maybe sitting up a few claymores around the bike would help?

The thieves are bad in Amsterdam as well. A bro of mine had his 02 Duece taken and they were only 20 minutes away from the bikes. F^%ker's were watchin for bikers and then called their truck in, four guys with posts jump out slide the posts under and lifted the whole thing right into the truck and off they went, 75 witnesses and nobody did chit to stop em. yeah, that burns my a$$, cause you know it's "bikers" stealin from bikers. Which makes them not bikers at all, just more of the scum that plagues mankind.

At what point do you stop being a wannabe and start being a biker? I rode a Yamaha back in the early 80's. I almost killed myself on it and spent 2 months laid up in traction at the local bone ward. I didn't get back on a bike for 17 years (my loss, I'm glad I finally got back on the horse). I got my Harley in 2000, put 14K miles on it the first year I had it. Now I been ridin solid for 5 years. But back in 2000, the "bikers" I started hangin with used to comment on my "new looking" leathers and sometimes called me a wannabe. Everybody's got to start somewhere. I think the "biker" in you comes from what you're made of inside, not what you got between your legs or the leather you got on your back. BTW, those same guys that used to call me a wannabe, still got less than 10K on their rides and have owned them alot longer than I have had mine.

Wow.....what the hell I got in too. Sounds like a continuing daytime drama on TV what's up with that!!! I think all you guys need to get out and ride..... So, all I hear a lot about is a wannabe biker, but can anybody tell me the definitions of what a real bike is? I guess I'm a wannabe biker, cause I ride sport bike as well......You know what, I ride what, I wear what I want ( but no matching helmet)haha. Its a free country..... FTW!

I guess I fall into both categories.

Nodey girl: Forget about that "Rock Star" chit! Your destiny is Greek Goddess of the South!

That means I have to have a love for ALL mankind. Do you know how hard that is at times?

I'd rather be self-absorbed RockStar type. Then I could tell everyone to kiss my...BUM?

ya don't have to wait to be a rock star for that, ya got a cute lil bum!!!

I think I met a couple of wannabes yesterday. I was lost and stopped in front of a practice area at a golf course and ask where a street was.

First thing outta one of the mouths was, "You need to be riding something better than a Yahama!" Then they read the stickers on my windshield; "Frodo failed, Bush has the ring" and "Don't trust corporate media" and said, "The government is out to get you, right?

Little did they know how little I have had to spend on upkeep of the Yahama, probably less than ONE service call on their Harley's.

By the way they were dressed and what they said I'll bet BOTH of them have Harley's parked in their garages that get ridden a thousand or so miles a year and spend a lot of time being trucked to events and parked in front of "biker hangouts" with others like them. Hellll, they might even go to the mall and call that a ride. I could be WRONG, but . . . . . This was just my gut reaction from them their smart arse remarks.
