well i use to smoke .. but i hav to admit... i do notice it alot more but it dusnt bother me...everyone is different but if u like that person it wudnt stamd in ur way hehe

I wrote in this thread previously that I'd date a smoker.

I revise that. After recently seeing someone who is probably THE MOST chronic chain smoker I've ever been around (although a considerate smoker, I will say) I will no longer date a smoker. Sorry, but really being anywhere near the smoke gives me headaches and I just don't like the smell that lingers on their clothes and skin.

Not sure how smoking effects dating, but I might find out when I get the nerve to get back out there. I do know it can effect a marriage. My soon to be ex of 23 years (20 of those married), said he can't stand the cig's anymore and wants out. It don't seem to bother him enough to get out of the house, just out of the marriage. By the way I smoked when he met me. Personally I think my smoking was a good excuse for him to relive his youth.

Being a nonsmoker, I prefer to date someone that doesn't smoke.

Hi I am new to this site, enjoy all the forum. I have tried other sites but no bikers on them. I don't like the smoke, sorry. Hope everyone has a great ride.

I prefer a non-smoker as a partner. But it seems like I end up with smokers all the time!
I can look past the smoke if the person behind the haze is worth it.

I personally do not smoke at all. Tried it, hated it, never bothered again.

I do think there are polite smokers, and downright stinky smokers. I dont usually put up with the truly disgusting ones.

There is a time and a place for everything!

After careful review of my previous post, and considering some recent experiences..dating and smoking is only a problem you can't get a burning flame to ignite and there is only puffs of smoke coming from your date while he smolders and his flesh is only a little charred and his skin has only a little soot to show for your efforts.

It doesn't bother me if I'm dating a non-smoker.

I do try to be a considerate smoker as long as the non-smoker is considerate as well.

Had to go back to the beginning since I missed it....wondering just what kind of smoke we were talking about here....thought maybe we were gonna roll one up...lol...just don't drink the bong water..uck.

I smoked up until the time I got pneumonia and landed in the hospital for 6 months and am now on oxygen for the rest of my life. hmmmmm maybe I should've listened when I was told to stop..but I didn't.

I will date a person who smokes. But I do sit upwind from them..
