Hello everyone!!! I am new here, just wanted to log in and say hello!!!!! I have never been here before so I guess that I check out the rest of the site!!!
That was a great way of referring to friends. When I was younger I didn't have many friends "only associates" Today I have many friends for whom I cherish. There is one thing everyone could never have enough of and that is friends.
i have 1 gf i can trust,we think of each other all the time,(and no not in that way) everyone i've met had an agenda,it's the nice and naive in me not that im braggin but my heart is out there for anyone who needs it,need help,im there if i can,and if i cant i still try. thats why im here to find good freinds for good times. been kicked to many times and still come back to help those that need it,i guess it's my attitude,Theres a silver lining in us all.
The difference between an acquaintance and a friend is that a friend is there when it's YOU who needs money and/or emotional support.
Those that are there only when THEY need it, are acquaintances.
I dont know why this double posted and is blank on the first one, but thanks for replying to it. A true example of a great way to meet new friends cause you can never have enough of them.
Totally agree with you! I still have friends from grade school that I can and have shared very important things with. A true friend doesn't judge, he/she is there to give you support, advice, and occasionally a good swift kick in the a$$!
I have three sayings about friendship that I am thinking about at the moment. #1: "A friend is a present you give yourself." #2 which is from the Irish. "May the hinges of our friendship never grow rusty." #3 which is also from the Irish which describes the Claddagh Symbol. "The Claddagh is an age-old Irish emblem of faith and affection. The design has three basic symbols: the hands, which symbolize friendship, the heart, which stands for love, and the crown, the symbol of loyalty."
I cherish my family & friends - because of them? It is who I am today...
