Garage sales report
Karen and I went to thirtytwo Garage sales today.
The first sale we spent $80. and dam n near filled the truck with signed plates and cups and saucers plus Cobalt and Vaseline glass.
Also got a cast iron pit with arms hanger and belly pot.
Bought a Willy Maes signed BBbat plus Ball, a wooden ride on race car, an old Milk Jug, Signed oak furniture, Redwing crocks and jugs. That was just the first sale.
What a day of buying it was.
The people having the sales were dam n happy to see us.
Tomorow we're headed to Bradenton for more sales, then maybe a liesure ride on the bike to cap off the day.
No auction tonight at haynow, so I will get some rest after I put up some auctions on eBay while sitting here in my underwear. Ha ha ha!
I too have riden a horse on the beach.
Walked him into the surf, "Chula" wanted to swim to Mexico. Ha!
Hardest thing was walking him across the bridge back and forth to the beach and back.
Chula had never stood over a body of water, so had to wrap the flannel over his eyes and lead him.
Thanks for bringing that up, its good to relive old memories.
When are we going for a ride?
Wow, Blondie! Now you have put something new and exciting on my list of things to try. Thanks! That sounds so cool...and I've been wanting a beach vacation soon. :)
I so work in the great city of Chicago, but for a construction association (read: surrounded by a bunch of good ol' boys haha)
Sheesh, out of the gutter Brock!
Blondie, I've had the fun of riding on a few beaches thru the years, and yes, that is so much fun. Horses are wonderful animals aren't they? I've ridden since my early 20s, and hope to do so till the day I die. :)
Write a lot
House and garden (should yes, more often not, but it's 68 years old so it needs help at times B)
If I was by the ocean I'd surf like I used to but 1,000 miles is a long way to go to ride a wave. <- add scuba to that desire
I want to get my pilots license but I think that might be a taller order yet again.
