I agree with you all,when I try to IM to you all..no response. Also if you wink at someone or respond to a wink I think the winked or the winker feels I want to marry them. Thats really funny. There was this guy who winked at me and I responded a few months later,well I was busy with school and work.When I finally answered we did communicate by email and did speak Then 1
day the guy calls me when I was in the hospital (thought I was having a stroke or a heart attack) It was an Asthma Attack.When I came home I saw his number on my caller Id and called him back. The guy never called back and he ignores my IM so he can kiss my *****. (LOL) U know what I mean. If its raining near you all ,please stay warm and dry. I think the I.M. here is just a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy for them to keep an eye on us to see who we are checking out so they can use that information to send us some sort of ads, because I can never get anyone to answer either, lol, I use speedyjerry1 the same place as Angel.

I reply..it's courtesy. I got a wink..I replied..guy writes me back..send you a wink just to make your day, never thought you would answer. Dang now what does that say?

Rasta, when I first got on I had the same thing with the pop-up blocker. I don't like the IM on this site though. It's too slow and easy to miss somebody if they say hi or vice versa.

And then there are those of us that haven't quite figured everything out on this site and didn't even realize my pop up blocker thingy was on and couldn't get IM's....not rude just slightly clueless

it is the polite thing to do. Its not like your asking to get married, just to say hi, how's things going. and hopefully make a friend in the process.

I have to agree the im thing has me a bit insane- id rather email.. i do try to answer when time allows - but some get pissed-- oh well thats just some

i seem to have the same problems, my im does not work and i don't know why...it is set right, just wont work.....i see some of you on there and try to say hi, but to no avail....nothing......

The IM here sucks...truly. So don't take it personal. I also respond to everyone, I'm just a friendly gal like that. Shoot when my kids were younger they's say "Mom, please don't talk to anybody in line today."...LOL I still did anyway.

I just discovered last night I had my pop-up blocker on. So all the times I heard it make that bloop sound when I was on the site I wonder if it was blocking IMs??? Imagine that! I wonder if I pissed some people off. OOOPS!

My Instant Mess does not work here and all the settings are correct...I'm at yahell under the same name as here...will chat with a light post if it'll stand still long enough! :)

Wow, you know a lot of times I don't even have that instant messenger window open. I'm on and off this site or the computer all the time, and sometimes just don't pay attention. I know I've gotten a couple of email winks saying somebody wanted to chat with me, and I was already gone when they sent them. I always respond by email though. I'm a friendly person. It doesn't matter to me if somebody is right for me or not. A human being is a human being. I'll talk to anybody as long as they're nice. Most people are nice. :)

I don't think it's because the recipient is not responding; it's just the IM not working correctly as usual. A real chat format would help.

Then again some of us can't type worth a fig, and it takes all of our limited mental capacities to keep focused on a thought. I'm jusssssst not good at the chat thing!

"You check out someones profile out....profile looks interesting.... go onto Instant messanger. say hello..even say that if they don't want to chat you'll sign off.. in less than 30 seconds they have signed out the site, not a bye or leave... gone!!
