Jerry, Ijust got back from Deals Gap..."Tail of the Dragon". What a ride. My Chapter went to Tenn for a few days. We went White Water Rafting and then hit the dragon. What a feeling....had a great time.

Rode Tail of the Dragon with Corkey1100 about a month ago. We had a great time! The ride was awesome - 12 miles, 130-something turns....it gets pretty hairy at some turns---my heart was seriously pumping!!! Ride safely, have a great time, its definitely worth the trip!

saw a t-shirt for sale at the Tail gift shop. said something like, "Dragons Tail - 318 curves in 11 miles.... Florida 11 curves in 318 miles." I got one that says "318 curves.... 11 miles..... Deals Gap, the Sweetest ride in the Smokies." had the girl at the counter cut the sleeves off for me right there.

I been going there for 6 years, you'll get hooked, if not by the dragon, by every other road and senic vista, this past year, I discovered the dualsport riding in the area
I sold my 05 XR650L last week too, 1200 miles on it. Can only ride one at a time, loved it but found myself riding it out of guilt. The money will go into better things. I WILL have fun next week. My Mommy knitted a Blanky, lol
