We have hundreds of ways to express our feelings, through words and gestures both large and small. All too often, however, we keep our feelings to ourselves assuming that those we care for know how much they mean to us. The truth is, they often don't.
The next chance you get, tell that special someone how much joy they bring into your life. Let them know how special they are to you. Make sure you give a hug and get a hug.
This will deepen your appreciation for one another and brighten your relationship.
Today's Affirmation: I make a point of letting those I love know it.
jj I gree with you and Jalle that its fear that holds alot back and for some that " Tough/Macho Image" or sadly some simply weren
t told it themselves.
There
s nothing better or( very few things) than being told " I love you".
Wow that is nice. I can see myself in that. I grew up in a house that we could not say "I love you, Mom, dad, sister brother" We knew it but was never spoken.
But I also lost love because of the FEAR of rejection.
It is a shame that people either shy away or are scared to be rejected so they dont let the other person know how they feel or that they have feelings at all for them . So many relationships that could have been filled with life long happiness are lost that way .
When my dad was dying,we took care of him at home and though I knew he loved me he was never the type to say it or be emotional to us.One day however after I
d finished taking care of him ,he picked my hand up and told me he loved me....I
ve been told by many that they love me but That
s the one that stands out in my mind the most and the one I know that was the most heartfelt. Its been about 6 years ago since we lost Dad but it still brings a tear to my eye.
smile------how true thoes words are...i'm one that has a had time telling people i love them face to face.....no idea where that came from because all my family does it with ease....oh i'm sure it's some deep seated emotion in my brain, but your words are never more true....my grandkids i tell them all the time, but adults are different with me.....i am getting better, so until i do get there, i show them by what i do for them...just eaiser for me for some reason.....nice topic though, i like it.....
Hey Smile, words I live by everyday, my brother committed suicide by hanging and I found him, with him one day, gone the next. I am also in the emergency service field, life is strange, make sure you share a smile with everyone no matter what your mood, and most of all always lets the people closest to you that you love them, always, even if they are simply going to the store. Peace out, Mustang Jackie
