A 800 # iron horse covered in black cherry pearl with a deep soft leather saddle that fits your ass like a glove. With a bored and stroked 103 cubic inch V twin rumbling between your legs waiting for you to turn it loose and give you freedom from the world. Ride long hard and never look back.
2kspringerhd ... You are a BIG tease (You're the "male" version!) lol :^)~
I remember when I first joined this site and saw you(January) ... I wrote a note to you telling you that I wanted to "run away" with you after I read your profile!
lmao!= laughing my ass off!
Hopefully, there are some more like YOU around!
Loco...man, it ain't pretty! lol When someone my age has flatlining of the brain cells, and there aren't that many left to flatline!, it gets to be pretty ugly! Oh well, it's not my fault! What's a girl to do????
Dam Eye, you had me at hello(springer). I was good untill the ape hangers came in. Not a big fan of those. Thats all in preferance tho. Sorry about the diversion,I'll fix it, OK EVERYONE BACK TO SEX TALK!!!
Okay, if you MUST get us off the topic of flirting and trying to get laid and drag us back to talking about favorite bikes or whatever it was...
My second favorite bike started it's life as a 1996 FXSTS (Springer.) Lowered. Some chrome details. Baby apes. 100" RT engine. HT starter. Mikuni carb. Python3 exhaust. (Only until I find a good chromer that I can afford) Le Pera seat. Classic style road lamps. Dual passenger foot pegs. Spiked dash bib. Spiked foot pegs and hand grips, and some other stuff I can't remember...
But my FAVORITE bike of all time was a 1974 Honda CB450. As a young man I rode the crap out of it. Learned to ride for miles on it. Crashed it twice, during the second of which my g/f at the time suffered a de-gloving amputation of her right hand, and finaly patched it up enough to sell, since I didn't have the money to really repair it.
Hey I know that Triumphs are kinda "Brit bike" for most around here, I like the Dyna Glide Sport myself or the new V-Rod Sport ... so I'm not completely alien. LOL
I think I have the loudest Triumph I've ever heard however, with it's new D&D pipes. Kinda addictive ... I go looking for tunnels to ride through now.
I am surprised I haven't seen anything of a classic springer yet. Ok I will add mine to this. 2000 springer softail custom HD. Diamond cut heads, 1550 big cam kit, Vance and Hines big radius pipes, That chrome springer front end on harley 5 star wheels. The king and queen seat with back rest so she can lean back and so can I. No helmet laws and Myrtle Beach. here we go, oops, got off on a rant there:>
My FAVORITE bike is the one with ME and "Someone Special" on it ridin',smilin'and talkin' about ...
~~SHARING LIFE TOGETHER AND LIVIN' FREE IN THE U.S.A.!!!~~
If this forum is still about your favorite bike & why, then let me tell ya, it's definitly got to be a a sweet ol' panhead. Just got some kind of sexy written all over it.
my best bie a '77 sportster.bought it at a junkyard, in 20 years never had a break down. Dressed it to show, Otherwise never had to spend anything on it except maintance.
oh harleystdeuce, no one every said you were sloppy seconds, I just happened to be going in alphabetical order. I think there is enough of us to make you both happy simultaneously, we can let you both rest awhile, then maybe switch and try again.
My best bike has to be the 1985 700 Maxim X because it is so dependable and so comfortable. Even though it is not a suitable road bike it is comfortable for short trips and around town.
Any time you can buy a 1985 bike CHEAP, run it for 33,000 in four years and the only expense other than routine maintenance is for a set of tires, rear brake shoes, and front fork seals you can;t complain.
Hmmm, I am torn between my "bad boy, loud pipes" decked out Kawasaki Drifter and the obsenely opulent 05 Yamaha Royal Star Venture, that 12 changer CD/MP3 player and the cruise control are too cool.
