You just never know just how someone really thinks of your friendship.
I just thought I had someone that would come and ride at a drop of a hat. Youngun, but fun to hang with.
Anyway my buddy just bought a new bike. But to make a long story short. He said he wanted me to have his old one. I took it. But what do you say or do in a case like this. We're all bikers nomatter what we ride. We all know the importants of anothers sled. I mean I do have in my will what bikes I would like to go to whom. But thats after I hit the garbage truck with no lights late at night.

Yes, anyone would be humbled to have a friend like him. Even before the bike.
A firend with the ability to give is nice. But a friend that has the ability to care and listen can be just as valuable. We may not all be able to give much, but we all have the ability to be valueable...... Chkn

His brother is in Iraq and I think that probably has a lot to do with how your friend is. I guess that going through what they do over there puts everything in perspective for a lot of them.
Yeah it's kinda like they know, every time we hear the news about another attack over there, we go thru hell here worrying if it's our love ones.
Kinda like the reading of the will, to make sure they let us know we were important to them.

Friends, are rare my friend. And being a friend sometimes can take a little work. A gift like a bike can be humbleing. But taking the time to really "listen" to someone can have as much value. He said when he was here, it was my passion for riding and bikes that helped him make his mind up when he was back in Irac. The 600 was his first bike and he couldn't bare to see anyone else have it. He knew it would always have a home with me. Along with he said he never had any one to ride with that is not to afraid to ride like he does. I laughed when he said that, saying I don't ride like you, you're always in the back. LOL
But I guess thats friends.....

We were hanging off and draggin knee like we use to. We never got to talk much. Accept he did say before he went home, He'd been thinking about that ride for 6 mos. He also said he wasn't looking forward going back to Irac. There is no better feeling, knowing someone does really have your back, as good as you know you have theres. Chkn
everyone should be so blessed to have a friend like that......

it is great to have a friend like yours--bike or no bike--they are the ones we can talk to without getting any judgement
