I think the man should go visit her first , when meeting someone for the first time you should be as comfortable as possible , atleast if he goes to see her she will be in her surroundings and know where she is in case of something going wrong , it's also the chivalrous thing to do
i think that who makes the 1st trip depends on the family circumstances-- are there kids involved and if yes their ages
i know that even though my daughter is 24 i'm careful with her--her father abandoned her for the 1st 3 yrs we were seperated/divorced she became attached to the 1st guy i dated and when we broke up she felt abandoned again by him--not a good premmise for future relationships that she will have
Yes "Speedy for me" they would. But that only means when they come to you- You must do the entertaining!
Some women want to be entertained so they dont mind making the 1st trip- just to get away and see new sites.
But I feel its better to be stable and in control in your own environment.
Blueyes, yes, men will (and do) make the first trip. If they are sincere in wanting to meet you, they will find a way to overcome the distance... be patient. You will find a man who will travel the distance for you.

Nothing worse than flying 1000 miles for a three day visit and finding out in one hour that, lets say "not gonna work". Then the both of you are miserable for the remainder of the visit. But if everything goes great? I'll come back for more and more.
that's why there should be no real expectations other than great friendship--if more takes place what a great surprise
those that expect are usually disappointed
those that accept the circumstances are usually surprised

Maybe I'll have to cook a meal for you too, but be warned, I sing when I cook, and if ya cut through the kitchen while I'm hard at work, count on bein' danced around for a bit. LOL You got your choice of meals too, fattening, or REALLY fattening. LOL
This buds for you Sweetie.
Damn Tinker, don't tease about the dancing...i'll start to wonder where you've been all my life.
Thanks for the flower, sweetie. And I am counting on the visit.

Tinker, More than happy to have you. I mean it, don't tell anyone but I actually can cook, and well too. But if that gets around then I'll have no excuse to have someone else cook for me...
Tinker, you are such a sweetheart. If you ever get to Ontario, let me know, perhaps it's time someone cooked and pampered you in return.
WOW, now that's a deal and a half. You're on Mackie darlin, I try get to Ontario about twice a year to visit family when I get homesick, so next time I'm coming, I'll be sure and warn you. BTW, I love Barrie, I spent a lot of time ski patrolling at Moonstone and Horseshoe Valley in my misspent youth. LOL

I took last week off work and travelled about 1600 miles 1 way to go down and cook for her and pamper her a little, as a result, she gained back 11 pounds in 1 week. LOL I'm like Emeril of the north. I also cooked a bunch of meals and froze them in meal size portions, so all she has to do is nuke them and she has another good meal instantly. That was just for a close friend, we're not even an item. If he thinks enough of you, he'll find a way to cover the ground between you.

If it ends up being just another friend, then so be it. Your both better people for it. My humble 2 cents!
