It takes a lot of courage for some of us to write to another person to introduce ourselves and ask if you might like to start a conversation and see if we might get along. It take me a lot to take that step of putting myself out there to be the first to make a contact.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH BASIC MANNERS?? -- "THE VERY, VERY LEAST" -- being that of reply with a simple "thanks for writing bu no thank you". It feels so awful to get the courage to put yourself out there and write to a person you found, on the surace to be of interest, and realize they did look over your profile, BUT obviouslly they found you were not even worth a simple little response.
DO YOU GUYS (and I and sure some gals) HAVE TO BE RUDE, SHOW A LACK OF CLASS AS WELL AS BE JUST PLAIN CRUEL?

Furthermore most girls dont read the profile before winking , my old one said pictures only and rambled on for paragraphs about it , but I still gott 50 % of my winks from grey aliens sayign Hi I read your profile and liked it , yeah well your reading comprehension and ability to follow directions s ucks what do you want from me , or better yet with my new " Im with someone please dont wink " profile , I still get winks from girls who g o on it thier profile ( which I read ) to say no players please , so what the hell do you think , Im going to take one look at your profile and forget my Girlfriend ? If you dont want a player then why wink at a taken guy ? cuase you cant read or cause ytou just want a piece of a$$ are the only reasons I can figure out . So should I be obligated to reply to illiterate vixens ? ( just a generalization again ) For the record were I not involved in something right now , I really do love all you illiterate vixens so please don't stop writing .

powie to him, what the hell is that?............people never stop amazing me....the hell with them winnie....OMG girl, i loved talking to you today and angel.......as for the e-m-ail stuff, i answer what i get, but i find some stuff in the junk m-ail which i don't check often......if i never replied to someone it was an honest mistake.........as for putting yourself out there, it's hard i agree, but what else are we do..............
I am sorry --- but if someone takes the time to write a real email --- not a one like "hey like the way you look" bunch of junk or even look at your profile --- but takes time to really say hello --- then they deserve some kind of any answer. Well ladies....I dont think it should be a big deal.Some people may not even check there ma il or don't even think there still a member of this site.I do agree that it would be kind of them , but can't alwyas please everyone.I know that I have gotten so many emails i couldnt answer them sometimes or I just answered ones that sparked my interest.I don't think I am being rude....
Weenie, AT LEAST, he replied! Even if it did lack class. I have done the same, thanked someone for looking at my profile. I know they got it cause they looked again, almost immediately. They NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH! And, let's not even talk about the ones that post regularly to the forums. There are those I have written & told them I enjoyed reading what they have to say & they don't even have the courtesy to say thanks.

Akfem, I couldn't agree with you more! You know they got the email cause they just viewed your profile. But not so much as the time of day. There are some that even post regularly to these forums & "say" they are good guys, only never to reply, just cause somebody's picture doesn't fit exactly what they are searching for in the romance department. Most everybody on here says they are looking for friends too. Friends come in all shapes & sizes.

Only when our friends are around. Just kidding. I do think that not all emails go through though. I have sent a couple with no response, followed up and got one back that it was not recieved or that maybe another household member deleted it on accident.
That, of course, is a reasonable consideration but only occasionally - not as a general rule. Unless this site has a reputation for not being able to efficiently handle our correspondence.
